My department was told in April last year that we were to be outsourced to IBM. After the contract was signed we were then told as our roles were being outsourced to New Delhi and it was not suitable for tube and we would be made redundant. We now know that we will be made redundant in June this year. We now have IBM staff on site and we have been told we have to show these people our roles through a keystroke programme, where they capture what we do, (we are accountants). Why, if we are being made redundant should we show these people our roles? And if we are being made redundant then surely our jobs should be redundant but all our jobs will still have to be completed on a monthly basis. As you can imagine given the time scales involved and nature of the tips/redundancy and no help at all from our employer morale is very low and stress levels extremely high. Are we being dismissed unfairly?
