  1. So, Sunday morning last weekend the boiler decided to dump mains water all over the floor and walls.... Called the SP number, got the usual useless drone on the other end repeatedly repeated the details and the phone number ....they called us ack on the wrong phone number a hour later ( whilst floor getting deeper covering of water) which of course we missed so we rang them back had to give all the details again, then wait for them o call back...this went on for three more hours, still no boy with a bag of spanners .. ... Eventually at 4pm a engineer turns up in a SP marked van and actually knew what day it was and knew his job.... Identified the problem, ordered the part, fixed it so we had hot water in a way, and promised it would be fixed ... Monday, true to his word, phone call and a ( sadly different) engineer turned up with his "team leader" fitted the part all with no fuss.....how surprised we're we.... SP did something they said they would when they said they would....too good to be true? Unfortunately, yes... 5am this morning the missus woke to water running everywhere on the floor and walls! Tried to call SP just got a ringing on stanly phone, no answer phone no muppet no nothing until 7 am when someone got there (24 hour emergency line ???) Usual repeatedly repeating the info over and over .... Took them until 15:30 to get here, with a top notch engineer who identified the problem in seconds,the part that was fitted Monday was fitted incorrectly and had "popped off" bout was not damaged, so was refitted....however the water has damaged the pcb but alas the hopeless "team leader" failed to find a replacement part because by now its quarter to five on Friday evening.... Surprise surprise... So we are without a boiler again... They say they will be back first thing with the new pcb, but we have been here before .... Not holding my breath..... The !!!! is going to hit the fan because of the amount of time it took for them to get here and because the incompetent idiot fitted the part wrong and because someone had to be here all day waiting for them to not turn up! Scottish power have made some improvements but the call centre is abysmal As ever Scottish Power are totally incompetent!
  2. We are still waiting for the enquirer into why Scottish power are useless, and how they managed to not fix our boiler from October to march, the whole of winter! Our solicitor advises us to wait until June and if nothing financial has been forthcoming we will go national in the press and to court for compensation. They have managed to pay out for the damage the boiler made to the house, after much hassle and we had to do all the leg work. But still no apology or compensation.
  3. We are now being told tomorrow! Haha! I'm sure I will go purple before anyone arrives if I elect to hold my breath on this one..... Scottish power really are the biggest bunch of liers I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. If they don't turn up tomorrow I will be calling a real boiler engineer and billing scottish power , enough is enough now It's already going to be costing them £6.50 for every hour I have had to chase them .

  5. Further update! The so called top man is full of **** too! On Friday when they turned up with a faulty part to fit and again left us without a properly functioning boiler , we were told they would be back out today with the correct working part . Just been informed it will be Wednesday ! This lot can't tell their arse from their armpit . Full of bull. Just don't believe a word they say .
  6. Finally someone has grown a pair and decided to phone us last night Apparently a bigwig has found out , now lets see if anything happens.... Not holding out much hope, but at least it's not one of the telephone drones this time. Since 6pm last night we have had 3 phone calls now, promising to have the part here and fitted by Friday...... We refused the useless subcontractor they have been sending from chesterfield , they say they will use another from Coventry . If these are the usual lies and fobbing off its the end of the line. This really is their final chance! Updated will follow here , and on every other place I can find to warn people of this company's incompetence .
  7. Still waiting for someone to phone. This was "escalated" 6 weeks ago! Nothing has happened so far. Waste of everyone's time and our money !
  8. What a complete waste of time and my money this lot are! It just gets better! After a independent company ( other than the bunch of incompetent idiot subcontractors HCM of chesterfield ) came out and diagnosed the fault , Scottish power rang Friday night as we were on our way away for the weekend to tell us they were coming Sunday to fit a part.....no would it be convenient to come Sunday, we are doing it! Well they got told we would not be there, rescheduled to monday sometime between dawn and dusk.... The guy turns up at 5pm without any part, to look at why its not working... Not his fault I know, but I'm afraid he got told ! Same idiots HCM ! Same idiots at Scottish power! Although they did telephone back !! When they said they would... The saga continues......I am now taking legal advice, this is breach of contract on SP part. Now it's going to get nasty, as we have had no apology no hot water and no heating we can rely on since early November 2012 . Add together the time wasted waiting for someone( anyone) to turn up, time spent waiting on the phone while the morons the other end look for new excuses, time spent waiting for phone calls not to be returned and days taken off work to keep appointments so vague it's unreal we are looking at court ! You now have 7 days scottish power !
  9. Ok how many weeks on now and still not solved! Given the run around still. Complaints made to the boiler care service phone number not followed up only reason it's moved on is because I commented in here!! Since then been told to leave boiler off ( so no heating or hot water again) contractor needs to see it at fault ! Ok did that he comes and is none the wiser! Has to go off in front of his eyes so he can see why!?!? And he can put parts in!! Ok do you have any parts?? No he said!!! Ok they say nothing they can do! Now a second opinion is been sought from another Scottish power contracto so I ring up when it goes off (7 pm Friday) ok will get back to you within 12 hours. 930 sat morning no call. So I call the emergency help line again!! Put me on hold and ring the second opinion company they won't be out this weekend so reset it. I asked was any one actually going to call me and tell me this , they reply that the contractor had tried to call my land line ( which they didn't) Saturday Contractor rings me trying to book in to look at the boiler on Monday. But as I have rest it he won't come out! He was under the impression it was still off!! Despite Scottish power telling me to reset it! I then asked him if he tried to call me last night answer no he only got the call this morning to come and see me! What on earth scottish power are playing at I don't know but there customer service is terrible and I am still with a boiler that has a fault!!! Sort your self
  10. Evening all Ok Scottish power.... I have boiler care with them after switching from British gas( wish I hadn't now) Since November 2012 my boiler has faulted when producing hot water. Engender visited nothing wrong will have to get worse before we can mend it! Called back few weeks later same problem , no fault found! So the engender sticks in screwdriver in the water pump ( witnessed by my other half) to stop it going! He the decides it needs a new pump. Engineer fails to show up on day after waiting 8 till 6 he claimed he did despite me and two girls who work for me were here all days.... New pump installed fault still happens and to further to it it now faults and stops the heating coming on! Boiler still faults so the send a senior engineer out he decides it needs flushing..... So refused to do any thing else. Next the boiler starts to leak due to senior engineer not re assembling it correctly..... After many phone calls over a weekend they finally attend to fix the leak. This engineer was the same one who came out the second time and stated the system did not need flushing the water was clean as far as he was concerned!!! We consulted an independent plumber he was also in the same option on it did not need a flush and the engineers had not diagnosed the problem correctly. So now the boiler is faulting still no hot water or heating with out resetting it! The boiler is now emptying its self outside via the same pipe which was leaking before due to engineer visit. Called them to get them out again on Sunday they will be here Wednesday ok i said. Now the boiler is empty and I have to keep topping pressure up to get hot water or heating. I call them back to try get them out today! I will call you back they say did they ... No...... I call them at 10 on the emergancy help line as I now find the water running out side! And the boiler is off again! They tried to call but it was engaged! I have answer phones on both my mobile and home number no message left So with a 4 year old I now have no heating or hot water. Come tomorrow I will have to wait between 8-6 for them to come as a childminders I will have 9 children under the age of 5 in my house with no hot waters or intermittent heating! Of which they are fully aware and there reply is sorry cant help .... Engineer will be there tomorrow...... To which I reply ok who do I complains to ... He said me ... I have done that when the engineer failed to turn up and had to reply to that. There engineers are useless what am I paying them for?
