  1. Hi Hunter, I am so sorry to hear about your particular case with swift also. There is so much I would like to tell you about what I am doing but I don't want to post it as Swift spies will probably read. Can you send me a private message with your email and I will be happy to talk to you. You can in the meantime put in a complaint to the financial ombudsman as well as the OFT who have an interest in Swift.The more of us individually who put in a complaint the better.

  3. Hi again Pam56, That is exactly what they did to me. They told me verbally that as we had agreed a payment plan due to a change in circumstances then there would be no legal action. However, the transactions later showed HUGE legal fees levied to my account. I have sent a £10 fee to request a tapescript of all phone conversations. This particular charge has been paid back but th overall problem which has never been fully redressed is the ongoing bullying and harrassment in this time period.

  7. Hi Pam, I am so glad to hear that you are pursuing this. I would certainly like to understan more about the route you are taking re kestrel. I have just bought the end of year accounts and directors report fro kestrel from companies house and makes for a very interesting read. I've just lodged a complaint with the ombudsman and with the OFT. I've also made conatct with a company in the ISle of Wight called the JMP partnership who specialise in helping people with Swift. I have also set up a public facebook page called Justicewithswift and will post updates etc...It would be great if you could support that. Thanks
  8. Thanks for that info Pam. I spoke to a litigation manager at swift yesterday who said that the 'problem' with my account was in fact the compound interest. So that is very helpful and I will follow up.

  11. Thank you for that info. Yesterday I spoke to Swift (third time this week) as I am currently negotiating a payment plan with them. They assured me that while that is being looked into, there would be no further £64 charges. however, I've had two. Additionally, they gave a two week period to gather together some supporting evidence of my circumstances but before that time period had elapsed they started calling me to harrass me again asking for information that was already in the post well before the deadline. The very practices they have been fined for by the FOS are still continuing. I will be writing to the OFT, FOS and the MP you suggest but don't hold out much hope as an individual complaining. It stands to reason that if the FOS took a fine from Swift but have not actually done anything to actively support the people who were affected by Swift, then we will all probably get 'fudged' responses that do not have any impact on us. The FOS on the other hand is £630,000 in credit.....
  12. I am so sad to read how you are feeling about this but please don't give up.... Swift have made my life a misery too and continue to do so. So many people have gone to the OFT and the FSA individually but are not getting the help, support or justice they need. This is criminal when you conside that the FSA has pocketed a fine of over 600,000 from them for their misconduct. We have to all do this together and take class action. That way, we can get the legal help we need and if necessary take the company to the European courts.
  13. A brilliant idea, although I do also believe that if there were enough of us we could find a firm to represent us. We would first need to find a way of collating veryone's evidence against them which would mean not being anyonomous etc... and exchanging contact details. I have read through thre FSA's documents relating to their 2011 fine and the fact is that they are still not behaving in a way that the FSA has set out for them to move forward in. If the FSA has taken 630,000 payment from them to fine them for their misconduct over a number of years, then the FSA should be protecting us against the result of that misconduct. We can do that if we are stronger together!
  14. Hi, I am so glad that I've found these posts on Swift. They have made my life a misery for the past seven years, continually threatening repossession and harrassing me. As for the constant £64 charges......Am totally up for any kind of class action and will do whatever necessary to get some justice!
