My son-in-law took out a pay day loan from Tooth Fairy. He had difficulty making a payment and so my daughter agreed to make a one off payment using her debit card. Since then Tooth Fairy have been debiting her bank card and when she tried to cancel the payments she was told that having made the one payment for him she had become his guarantor be default. She and her husband have since split up due to his addiction to these pay day loans. She is struggling to cope on benefits and cannot afford to keep making the payments for him. Can they really insist that she is now the guarantor for his loan?
