  4. well i called SC&M yesterday, the lady I spoke to was really helpful, until I said "So when are you going to settle, seeing as the court letter said it had to be settled by the 18th?" She then said, it will take 7 - 10 days to be put into your account, and slammed the phone down on me! so more waiting and more waiting, if i dont have this money before xmas I swear i am gonna ....... aaarrrggghhhhhh!!!
  5. well done Kevin by the way!!! :)
  6. well, ive heard nothing at all so phoned SC&M this afternoon to make sure they got my letter. I looked on Royal Mail track and trace last night and it was delivered on 04/12/2006 Anyway, spoke to Ms Lewis (my she has charm doesnt she??!!) and she checked and said no letter was there!! :-x I said I had checked and it had been delivered, she said this was no guarantee that it would arrive with her!!! :-x Anyway, had to beg and plead to my manager to send a personal fax from work and had to resend today!! To say I am unhappy is a understatement :-x
  7. LOL so close yet so far, I can almost smell it!!!
  8. well I havent heard anything just yet. I'm not a patient person at the best of times, but this is driving me crazy!!!!

  12. thanks Michael for that, I will send it tomorrow!
  13. tried to send an email last night but it came back as undelivered. but........... Received Conditional settlement today!!! I've only sent one letter to them as well so I'm quite shocked! Its marked Without Prejudice, Confidential and Privileged. This letter is marked without prejudice and is confidential and privileged which means it will not be produced in court... blah de blah. Willing to pay you the sum of £1611.51 to your account on the following basis - it will be paid into your account The payment will be in full and final settlement of the claim The terms of this agreement are confidential to the parties You must agree to maintain your accounts within its agreed limits What happens now? Are these the terms that I should be turning down? Any help please!! but, just to reiterate :D  :D I'm a happy moose tonight!!!
  14. ok, I have sent a letter to SC&M hopefully to speed things up a bit and sent a copy to the court, no response as of yet. I dont have good access to a fax machine (only at work that im not allowed to use for personally use) so has anyone used the email address [email protected] which is on another thread? If so, did it work? would it worth a try to try and email a settlement out of them?
  15. right, first letter gone to SC&M by recorded delivery today, and a copy to the court. now we play the waiting game..................... again!!
