  1. Thank you everyone for your advice feeling a lot calmer about it now. Will wait it out and see if they decide to go further and update if/when they do.
  2. I believe I did but honestly can't remember it's been so long. It was through a doorstep company called UK homemakers they left a leaflet so called them. They came to the house to set it all up and the only other time I've had contact with them was when I was phoning their head office to try and get the faulty items sorted. Should I just ignore it & see what they send next or should I send CCA request asap?
  3. Should I send this letter to them? Also would this be classed as section 77 as it was a Loan? Sorry for all questions. Should it be sent directly to Nautilus or direct collections bailiff?

  7. Thank you for all the replies. From my understanding from the letter Nautilus are now the creditor and they are using Direct collection Bailiffs to recover the debt. They state all contact and payments to be made through direct collection Bailiffs and have included there contact details and bank details for payments. The letter is dated 2nd March and includes a notice of sums in arrears (the £375) and a default notice. The letter also states "We are aware or a previous period of non-compliance, whereby a notice of sums in arrears was not issued when your account status met the appropriate threshold" I will try and get a copy up. Also in the statement they made adjustments to the account in Sept 2017 I think it was charges they have removed. Will that go against it going statute barred?
  8. First and last pay ment was made July/Aug 2012 it was a deposit of £50.
  9. That's the problem as it's nearly 6 years ago now unfortunately for me I've not got any of the original paper work. I think I stupidly thought nothing would come of it after this long so didn't keep anything. Also as they never sent any letters until now don't have anything. I don't have the blinds anymore they have all been replaced so I have receipts for the new blinds which cost about £200 for everything. The original cost was £425 with £375 outstanding after £50 deposit which I paid.
  10. Thank you for your reply. The blinds where ordered at the end of July along with a £50 deposit when they came to measure up. They came some time in August to fit (Not sure what date now) and noticed the problems right away. Told the fitters who said someone would be out to inspect them. Someone came a week later and agreed they was some faults and blinds cut to wrong length so took them away and said fitters would be back to replace. Out of 8 blinds ordered only 3 where correct. The fitters never came back no matter how many phone calls I made or the amount of times I waited in for them not to show. Oh and also no court judgement like I said not heard anything until now.
  11. Hi I'm wanting some advice on an old debt from 2012. I ordered blinds through a company called UK HOMEMAKER which I wish I never had. They totally messed up the order got blinds that was too short and rails that didn't work/fit properly. They took the initial deposit and said they would take faulty items back and replace. A direct debit was set up but they never came back with the new items. Tried calling them on several occasions but was always told they will come next week time and time again. I told them i wouldnt be making any payments until the items got sorted.This was in August 2012 by December I gave up and never heard anything from them till now. Fast forward to today and I receive a letter from Nautilus Investment Holdings LTD stating they now have the debt of £375 and have outsourced it to a company called Direct Collections Bailiffs ltd. A quick Google search on this company has now got me really worried. I've not had any correspondent with anyone regarding this loan since the last telephone call I made back in December 2012. I've tried extremely hard to rebuild my credit score over the years. Checked my credit file and can't find this debt now. I would start paying it off but I really don't want to be paying for something I didn't fully receive. Any advice on next step to take would be gratefully received.
  12. His employer didn't do anything by the book. When holiday was requested it was done in writing but don't think employer keeps any of it. He was giving no warning just told his employment was terminated and to leave the premises immediatly. As for company policies he has never had any written contract or policies from his employer.To tell the truth there is alot of other things that they do wrong eg when husband was being bullied at work was told to stop moaning and get on with it when he tried to make a complaint. Going to be telling the soliciter everything that has being happening as its not helping with his depression. He has always been a hard worker and this has come as such a hit for him.
  13. Thankyou yes he is an employee. Contacted a soliciter but no appt till next week. Just wondering what we do till then having 3 children to provide for youngest only 7 months old.
  14. hello everyone. Still quite new to this but really do need some advice. My husband had his employment of over 20yrs terminated today without any warnings. The reason being that he has had too many odd days off. Can they do this??? Yes he has had quite a few days off as we have had a very difficult year. We lost his dad a year ago and now my dad has been diagnosed with terminal cancerwhich jas left my husband depressed. He has had no holidays as they are always declined his employer saying people off already so he can't have them. He hasn't had a holiday in over a year. Just wondering where we stand with this and what do we do financially as we have never had benifits and really don't know where to start. Any advice will be very appreciated.
  15. Still had no luck with them. Sent letter to head office explaining situation and also contacted FOS again but as old case was closed have to start again so may take upto 6 weeks. Could someone please exain to me how to go anout claiming back late payment fees (My account has had alot of these applied at £3.50 per week per agreement) and also service cover.
  16. Spoken to them again yesterday same story want full payment. I explained I am not paying anymore for faulty item but will gladly pay for washer. They told me they need full payment before they can order a repair on tv. Not sure what to do as don't want to pay for broken TV and even if they do repair it I proberly won't see it again. Even if I return it I still have to pay because I didn't take out service cover. They have also started making up lies saying I haven't reported any faults so I have told them not to phone me anymore I want everything in writing.
  17. I have only TAD cover on TV but have TAD and service cover on washer All together for these 2 I have payed £1082 in cover. Which ones can I try to claim back?
  18. Thankyou for reply. The only problem if I pay them for washer that way is they have told me any money recieved would be put towards the arrears first including charges I will get evey week for still been in arrears for the TV. Also the service cover on washer will remain void until the whole account is up to date but I still have to pay for it every week. The TV is payed off fully in January I just don't really want to pay another £400 plus to them for a broken TV. Im a little wary of them saying they will collect to fix because if it takes as long as last time they will still be wanting payment for it and when the agreement is over I don't think I will get me TV back.
  19. Hello everyone. Im new to the forums so not sure where to post this. Got a tv and washer from perfect home nearly 3yrs ago now. In October 2011 my TV stopped working. I went into store told them the problem and was told they would come and collect it to have it repaired. After numerous phone calls to them TV was finally picked up for repair 6 weeks after it stopped working. I then was told I had to carry on paying my account which I did. They finally brought TV back at the end of Jan 2012 to find they had smashed the screen in transit. They just left it with me saying my problem but they still wanted the payments of me. After numerous arguments and buying another TV I went to FOS. After perfect home was contacted by the FOS they contacted me to offer a replacement. I accepted offer but few months down the line again the TV has stopped working. I have now refused to pay them another penny for the tv as I went so long without one, had to buy a new one and now left with another that don't work. I have tryed paying for washer still but they are refusing payments saying they want the full amount. I am getting about 20 calls of them aday +2 home visits all that for 2 week non payment!!! Can anyone give me some advice on this matter I am so stressed out at the moment recently had a baby and suffering with pnd so situation really not helping. Thank you in advance.
