Iv complained to the council and the bailiff company and they have agreed to hold the sale until Tue to give them time to investigate, I told them in the complaint I would also be taking the matter further because under child protection laws , an distress or fear caused to a child falls into the category as abuse, as attending while he was home alone and my neighbour had to console him because of how scared he was, they should have left. My camper was removed by the second bailiff even after the first bailiff told him it was already levied. They are 2 different companies. Thanks

It is Ashfield District Council and was for 849.00 however this is without the 25% red which they have admitted they forgot to add, I paid 500.00 to the bailiffbut he now says I still owe 1200.00 !! ,

Thank you

Hi Sorry I am new to this so unsure if I am posting in the correct place, urgent help needed. My campervan was removed last Monday for non payment of council tax. 3 weeks before this the 2 bailiffs came into my house via an open patio door and said that if I didn't pay the amount in full they would take my campervan, I was in tears and explained I was a single mum , unemployed and had no money. I asked to pay installments, they refused. I had to get my dad to call them there and then and pay half, they said I could arrange to pay the remainder, they should a piece of paper in front of me after part payment was made and told me to sign, I was still sobbing and signed what I thought was a receipt for the payment I didn't realise it was walking possession order! They left, the next day a bailiff from a different company came for a different council tax bill from the previous yr which at the time I was on benefits , I explained that bailiffs the day before came to seize my camper but he said they couldn't do that because he had already placed a levy on it the month before so they couldn't levy the same vehicle, the bailiff also called the other bailiff and told them this. However last Monday they still took my camper while I was in hospital and the only person home was my son who is only 15 ! Can you tell me was the second levy invalid because at the time a levy was already on it? Plus the council have admitted they have not charged me correctly because they have not applied my deduction , but they are aware I am on benefits and still allowing the bailiffs to do this!
