  1. Hi , I was billed for electric and they did not provide gas , I requested DUEL FUEL, and they never provided it, the main concern is that they have billed me at the address I was due to move into only the sale fell through so I deem not liable at all ??

It is showing on my credit files as a default, spoke to them on numerous occasions to get it removed they say they will, objections sent to each CRA, they state Scottish Power never respond

  2. Don't worry about the 14 days - that's the official deadline for the discount, but in practise, it's almost always extended to 28 days, if you appeal, so you have some breathing space.

You'll need to gather some info. Maybe phone the council or call in. See if they can provide you with a copy of the PCN or a screenshot of the computer record, with the relevant details on. If not, just ask them to tell you the contravention code and contravention description, and any CEO notes on the computer. Also, ask if they can email you any photographic mages.

Once you have that - or as much as you can get - post back on here and tell us the contravention, and whether the notes/photos support it.

    Many thanks will do

  3. So, why was it issued? Have you checked whether Blue Badge holders are allowed to park there for free? If so, what was the contravention, as stated on the PCN?

Blue badge holders are allowed, no PCN has been received, only after making a call to the council did they tell me yes one should have been inside a sealed envelope in a plastic cover ?

I am in a bit of a panick now as 14 days are up on 5th July .

I took photos of my badge clearly displayed when I got back to my car

Any further help would be most appreciated

  4. Hi CAG

I hope you can offer me some advice .... I rented a property out to tenants only put it in the hands of an sent to look after the obvious, after 9 months I have terminated my contract with the agents, 3 months prior to the initial 12 months as it has become an unworkable relationship between me and the agent and more to the fact the tenant has requested numerous issues to be re citified, not all internal issues, only finance issues which has led into my guaranteed rent not ever being paid on time , no explanation why etc and me carrring out minor issues with the property.

Now because I have cancelled early they are threatening me with court action for an outstanding months rental , they have communicated this via e mail .

Never once, even though they say/state they have written to me regarding the tenants issues and communications to them, not one has ever been received???

The agents have only ever communicated via e mail and , at their own admission, to an incorrect e mail address.

How do I prevent this going to court ? What CPR do I require to get the full file for phone conversations, all edged letters e mails etc as it is quite clear from my tenants they have not done their job satisfactory

    Regards

    AG

  5. I recently parked on a piece of land for the purpose of visiting the local newspaper for a meeting with the Advertising manager

, only a quick visit as he was off sick.

    Parked in the customer section

after 7 mins returned to my vehicle, disabled badge showing also,

sign clearly stars for customers only,

to be blocked in by an abusive white van man who started shouting at for illegal parking

and under the wiper blade was a hand written note telling me I have been issued with a ticket ??

    No ticket?

Now they have taken me to court ??

    Is this legal ?

Do they have to produce photographic evidence or is a scribbled note from a pad sufficient?

I have a copy of the said ticket but their solicitors are not interested...

    Help please , anyone ?

    Thanx

  6. As BankFodder and DX100 have said above, we are help to help you but we do need some further background information in order to provide accurate advice.

From your question I am assuming that you are now in rented accomodation and the letters from Rossendales have come to that property and the debt is in relation to a property that you own and which is currently let out to tenants.

Of concern is that you say that you sent the original copies of the tenancy agreements to the council and these appear to have gone astray. I would assume as well that the tenancy agreements were sent to prove to the council that tenants were occupying the property and that accordingly you are not liable for council tax.

If as you say, the ORIGINAL tenancy agreement have gone missing then you do have a problem at present.

Surely you must have retained copies of the tenancy agreements? Yes...no?

Do you have evidence from bank receipts that tenants were paying you?

Did you instruct agents to deal with the tenants or did you source the tenants yourself?

    Hi

I do not have a tennants agreement for where I reside as I am a live in carer for a person with late stage MS.

I own nothing in the property but my clothes , a tablet and mobile phone .

My allowance gets transferred to pay my rent and I receive ESA.

Given the above and the fact and i pay the council an agreed amount , never faltered, they say that as I did not respond to an update of circumstances letter , sent in Nov 2014, they transferred it to Rossendales.

Although all council tax and benefit comms are sent to my current address it transpires from a phone call made yesterday that it was sent to the address I rent out. There is a RM re direction in place but apparently this communication can not be re directed ?

Contacted the tennants and they have no recollection of any such mail , catch 22 there I suppose.

    What do I do ?

Any help would be gratefully received

  7. Hi Each

    Can someone help me

a council tax matter in which rossendales have delivered 2 letters to my land lady's house for a council tax debt ,

of which a payment as agreed with the council , and paid to them monthly via SO ?

The council will not speak to me about it at all even having been to visit personally on 3 occasions.

The property in question is a property I rent out,

they have been given my original copies of tenancy agreements,

they have subsequently mislaid them ?

I am panicking like hell now,

what advice can any CAG member offer please

    Kind regards

  8. Hi pdblmn

This is surreal, they did the same to me although I have a mobile contract with them have done for 8 years (previously Orange) never defaulted, and I got turned down 2 months ago when I moved house, I too was never offered that option, I then went to Talk Talk, explained what ha happened , They said they also credfit cheque m, only should that fail I could pay for exactly what you want, in advance for the 12 month contract which worked out cheaper than paying monthly, and considerably cheaper than EE and only a 12 month contract not 18...Surprise I passed their credit check the same day EE said NO

Try them, they were super efficient with my account, up and running with the phone line swithed on and the BB reciever in place within 5 working days...

    Good luck

  9. Hi Rebel

They have given my bank their internal reference account number for authorisation and my bank keep stating to me it is up to EE to send the correct information, EE state that the details they have sent to the bank are correct ??

It is getting me down as I cant get involved, in the meantime I have to pay by debit card at a cost to myself of £3:50 per month as is is not by DD Grrrrrrrrrr !!!

They will still charge me the same if I set a S/O up to pay my monthly agreement up as I have no way of incurring any additional costs due to the excellent package I have

  11. Hi Caggers

Can anyone point me in the right direction with the following problem ???

1: Took out a new contract with EE - June 5th 2013 for 24 months

2: New handset kept freezing and was inoperable August , took it to EE they sent it for repair, would not issue a temp phone without a £100 deposit

3: Phone returned 7 WEEKS later

4:I Took it away and they said it was fine now and blamed the manufacturer for the fault.

5: 2 days later not only was the phone still freezing etc but was even worse in as much as you could not be heard when making a call, so it went back again

6: After 3 more weeks i collected it this morning to be told it was water damaged ????? possibly due to the change in the climate etc, yes this is exactly what I was told, people were dumbfounded by the assistances remark

How do I go about resolving this matter ? I am now in a contract costing £36 per month for a phone that does not work AND has never come into contact with water AT ALL

Any advise would be really helpful and if there are ant EE or Samsung representives I would be grateful for a response

    Cheers

    Andy
