  1. virgin have a very bad reputation in doing this i have seen case people have signed for a 20.00 pm contract and it ends up costing around 45.00-55.00 then after 6months 70.00. i would contact them in writing and sent it recorded as that is your proof of contact.you can phone them but to be honest you either get someone on the end of the phone that you cant understand and vice versa or your call summary is not logged to the depth of the disscussion. also inform them by writing you will be getting in touch with there regulators to inform them what has happend i know many new customors have had issues with virgin media and its shocking to see even there loyal long term customers are beeing treated the same. also rember if your not tied to a contract you can leave them there are so many good deals out there now
  2. i was claiming working tax credit as i was working and was entitled i was then made redundant and signed on my partner was still working and we were told she is still entitled to WTC as she was on martinty leave. whilst claiming JSA i was be deducted a major amount we were suppose to get 105.95 per week however we was recieveing inbetwwen 3.00 -10.00 a week instaed due to the WTC paymeny i was told this is classed a income which i agreed on i was told by my local job centre not to worry as i am not getting anymore than what anybody else was entitled to so i left it as that i was signing for 1 year and have since made employment again. i recived a letter from WTC stating a overpayment of 3000 and i need to pay this back. i then got in touch with JSA and said that the money they deducted totaling 3400 has been requested by WTC and was told bluntly we cant do anything as when you was claiming this was classed as a income. so i get in touch with WTC and explain.they bluntly told me i still have to pay this money. JSA had deducted our entitlment by 97% so when i pay wtc i will be paying them more than i recived on JSA as the full amount i got whilst on JSA was 291.50 for the year. if i had recived full rate of JSA whilst claiming wtc i would accept it how ever i did not. ive appealed hmrc decision twice and JSA have reffered me to a speacial payments team who also suggest its all my fault. i contacted WTC at the time of claiming JSA if i had both sets of money i would of saved the WTC incase of a scnario that faces me at the moment but could because JSA were already deducting it i find it distressing that in this day and age with everthing linked to computers somthing like this could happen even when you apply for housing benifet they tell you what you have coming in and they know more than the person claiming its all on there computer surley if i informed WTC i done what is required. has anyone else had the same issues or have any advice i have tried every appeal i can possible exercise and want to know if i could take this matter to a county court or somthing
