  1. OK. Got a letter back from Lloyds on the 17th (been away for a while). Basically saying: Thanks for your letter, we're looking into it, sod off. What i was expecting really. Just getting ready to send the LBA, and things will be on the move again. Can't wait until they pay up. The sooner the better, but i'm not getting my hopes up for an easy resolution. Will let you all know how things go.
  2. I think you might need a bit more than a few quid Holte41 by the sound of it! Good luck with the relocation. At least A&L are going to help you on your way. They have their uses it seems. Let us know how you get on
  3. Wow £1000 in one year! They must love you. It's just a matter of time before you have that back. What a nice feeling. Good luck, and stick to your gun's. Keep us posted on your progress. I have just sent another prelim letter for some further charges since my last claim. I phoned them and asked for them back -the easy way. But no, they wanted to go the hard way. Not long now and i will be filling another moneyclaim, then taking the money from them and closing my account. I can't believe i haven't done all this sooner! Anyway, best of luck
  4. Hi wombat. The best thing to do is follow the instructions on this site. Stick to your deadlines and don't accept anything other than payment in full. That would be my advise. If you are unsure about anything, or just after a bit of support, ask and people will help. That's all i have done, and now i am waiting for the cheque to clear!! Best of luck with your claim. It shouldn't be long until you have a cheque in your hands now. Let us know how you get on.
  5. Hi Everybody, I recieved a cheque from Alliance and Leicester not long ago for my bank charges, so now i am ready to take on Mr Lloyds. I have been having a read through all of your experiences so far, and Lloyds really do seem to take it to the wire. A&L didn't really put up a fight. I think this one is going to need a bit more bottle on my part, and i'm really going to have my wits about me. The prelim letter will be in the post box tomorrow morning. I will let you know how it goes. Fingers crossed. Mike
  6. I must admit that i was a bit shocked how quickly they paid up. So pleased i have done it now. Best of luck with your claim Lesley. Hopefully it won't be to long before the postman brings you something nice to brighten up your day.
  7. I am now the proud owner of a cheque for £436.06!!!!! It arrived this morning. Very happy. Thank you all of your advise. I will be making a donation to this site. Now time for phase two....Lloyds.
  8. Ok. Guess i will just have to sit tight. Thanks for your help, it is appreciated.
  9. Thanks. Does this mean that i will be getting my cheque effectivley hassle free in due course, and my work is done. Or do i have to prepare anything for the court?
  10. Ok. Recieved a "Notice of Acknowledgement" from the court. On it it says that A&L "intend to defend all of this claim". Now i am sure that i have read somewhere previously, that this is standard proceedure. Can anyone advise?
  11. All done. Completed a Moneyclaim yesterday. Look forward to recieving a nice cheque from those wonderful people at A&L. Just have to wait now.
  12. That's a good point. To be honest my credit history isn't exactly spotless, however i don't want to make it any worse. I think i might pay in a little bit of money to show willing.
  13. Thanks for that Caro. A little bit of reassurance goes a long way. I already have a parachute account up and running. Guess i'll just sit tight for the moment.
