  1. Thank you Browncow! I just feel deflated really...where's the logic in having a policy and procedure if it is not going to be adhered to?! They have interviewed 4 witnesses also, but have carefully selected them to go with the answers that they want to hear. It all just seems very unfair and unjust, especially as I have a record of all the incidents and photographic evidence. The person in question has done this previously to other staff, so there is history....and has also done it to the member of staff currently off with stress! I suspect the management answer will be towards mediation, something I am not sure I want. I can't bare to be around the person, as they have hurt me that much.
  2. I have worked in the same place for 8yrs and have always been extremely happy with my job, laid back and generally got on with everybody. However, since Sept 2011 a colleague has completely turned on me, comments have appeared on Facebook, discussions take place with other work friends about me, she blanks me, etc. I tried to approach her and tackle it informally, but I am met with tears and she becomes confrontational. I therefore decided enough was enough, and put in a formal grievance. The policy I was given states that the investigation should take 5 working days, it has now been going on for 6 weeks, with no resolution. I now have a few concerns.... I have recently received my notes from my grievance meeting and a lot of key points have been omitted or words have been twisted. Surely I needed to be happy with notes and sign them before any other interviews could have taken place, otherwise the investigation is flawed? I have asked for an explanation for the time delay and have been fobbed off, this is causing me extreme anxiety to the point where i had an attack and had to leave work. Another member of staff is also off with stress due to this grievance. I am unsure as to what I can do, as the union I am in and my manager who is dealing with all this are not forthcoming! Please help.....
