Hi Shazbeb If it makes you feel any better, I am in a virtually identical position - I have a court date on 2nd February and have heard nothing from them. I submitted my court bundle last week. I have not received a court bundle from Barclays which I take to be a very good sign because I assume that in the unlikely event that they did intend to defend this in court, they would prepare accordingly and submit a bundle of documents. So I'm expecting a call some time soon.

sent my letter to Barclays this week, asking for all my money back. Will let you know when I hear back.

Hi all, one of my friend at work put me onto your site the other day, and I was delighted to discover that somebody is doing something about these unjustified charges which have frustrated me for years. I went through my bank statements over the past six years and discovered that Barclays have cherged me the best part of £2,000. So, today I resolved to do something about it. I am a lawyer myself, but not a litigator, so I will find it an interesting personal journey to the small claims court (though I hope not to have to go that far). As I say, I'm not a litigator but if anyone needs any general advice on this I'll try to be of some help. And in the meantime I'll keep you all updated on how I get on. Just one question - is the Barclays head office customer relations office, the address of which is posted on this site, the one which you all recommend as the starting point for my initial letter?
