  4. Hi I had a lot of trouble recently with barclaycard charging me for card protection that i never signed up for. I no longer use the card and it has a nill balance so did not really bother looking at the statements. However, i decided to look at one and found card protection charged to it which is charged annually. I had missed the payment date so i phoned barclaycard to explain. They assured me that my credit report would not be affected and they eventually agreed to cancel the card protection and the money and interest that had been charged would be refunded (eventually after a few phone calls that would have cost me a lot of money if i had not known about http://www.saynoto0870.com). No one seemed to give the same answer each time i phoned up and i was eventually told that there WOULD be a mark put on my credit report!!! Barclaycard said that they would rectify this and a few days later a recieved a letter in the post saying that they had done so. I took there words in good faith for some stupid reason and only just decided to look at my credit report today - has the mark gone? no the hell it has not!!! What can i say to barclaycard about this? can i take any action? Any help much appreciated, thank you Sean
  5. yeah that seems fair enough...but the £5 charge?
  6. got ya. thank you ps. i did read the faq's but could find nothing that answered my question specifically...
  7. hi i asked natwest for a list of charges over the last 6 years to be sent to me and they said that they would only send my statements and this would cost me £5. is this right?
  8. been reading the sight over the past few days with considerable interest after hearing about it from moneysavingexpert.com but i have one nagging question. Apologies if this has been answered before but economically speaking, if i were for example to go £100 overdrawn then i would cost the bank more money in lost interest overall than i would someone who only went £1 overdrawn. My point is, if the bank adds up all the money over a year that they lose in interest because people go overdrawn and then divide this total by the amount of times people have gone overdrawn in total maybe that equals an average of £30 each time, thus making it reasonable charge? or am i coming from this from the wrong angle? please enlighten me... ...also, don't know if this website has been mentioned on here before but companies make money out of our enquiries and complaints using 0870 numbers, etc...go to http://www.saynoto0870.com i have found it great help
