  1. Just over 18 months ago I went into voluntary bankruptcy I am contemplating applying for my bank charges for the previous 6 years, however, if I win, will the bank re-claim their monies on loans not satified ? Hope this isn't a stupid question but need a little advice before I take the plunge
  2. Don't know if anyone can offer any insight into this, but here goes anyway. My wife was recently given some gift vouchers to be used in a variety of stores. She wanted some wheel trims for her car and got them (using the vouchers) from Halfords. However on returning home we discovered that the wheel trims were not appropriate as the design of them could not be fitted to her car. There was no model exclusion on the box. On returning to the store although they agreed to return the vouchers they would only be for use in Halfords and not anywhere else. Does anyone know what the legal situation on this? It would appear that it whichever way you do business it limits the multi store vouchers to Halfords only on this occasion?
  3. I'm new here so please don't slate me if this is in the wrong place! Concerning credit agencies etc. My wife visited LLoydsTSB last week to try and consolidate two loans in an attempt to reduce the monthly outgoings. They said that by doing that the overall payment would be greater than at present (???). She conceded and said in that case would it be possible to have a 3 month 'holiday' on repayments to which the reply was 'you will have to contact Black Horse direct to negotiate with them. However, they did upgrade her account to platinum from gold????????? On contacting Black Horse she was confronted with a gentleman (and I use the term extremely losely) who said she neede debt counselling and he would immediately put a 'flag' on the account and stop any further borrowing. Today she received an UNSOLICITED text message which she believed was from the bank agreeing to the 'holiday'. In fact it was from a debt counselling service! Where the hell do these imbeciles attain the right not only to upset my wife and secondly pass her details onto someone else? I might add that not ONE payment has been missed on either loan in the 3 years they have been running. ANY advice whatsoever would be greatly received.
