This is the problem only been there since June last year.

Hi can anyone help please ? Im off work and have been since end of January with work related stress, and i am just starting counseling. A couple of days after going off work sent me a letter telling me to come to a performance improvement hearing which could lead to my dismissal, this as you can imagine only made me worse and my doctor told me to not go and wrote a letter, he advised me under no circumstances to do anything work related. i told work and they got an OH nurse.to call me, in her report she stated that although i was unfit for work i should attend the meeting. Both my doctor and counsellor were shocked and again advised me not to attend. work unfortunately decided to go ahead without me, even an email from the union didn't stop them. I have felt for months now that my face doesn't fit and that they have been pilling more and more pressure on me without giving me any support. Can somebody advise me whether my employers can carry out such a hearing without me? My pip is totally unreasonable and achievable
