  1. I just done a search with Credit Score Matters and it shows I have had 5 defaulted accounst but it does not show any CCJ/Bankruptcy etc.
  2. The name matches, I think it might be my father because I know when I last spoke to him about 4 years back he was having major problems with his finances. We are not on speaking terms. I have been at my present address for the last 11 years coming up on 12. My father has never lived at this address although he stays approximately 1 mile from me. I will try that experian thing later on.
  3. Hi folks, I am looking for some help as I find myself in a bit of a situation. A few weeks back I applied for a job with NFU Mutual, and as part of their selection process they carry out checks via The Security Watchdog. I have worked in the Insurance industry for the last 10 years so was not unfamiliar with these cheks being carried out as previous employers have advised that they would be done and nothing has ever come of it - unless of course the checks were never carried out. I digress slightly. Anyway I have served notice on my old job and worked that period and finished last Friday. I am due to start with NFU this coming Monday but I received a telephone call today from their HR people to say that of the financial probity check that is carried out - basic credit search - I am showing as being declared bankrupt and showing as having lived at a different address from the information that I have given them. This is difinitely not the case, I know my credit rating is not a 100% as I have had problems in the past probably like the biggest % of people out there but I have never been declared as bankrupt or had any CCJ or entered an IVA or anything like that. I am now without a job, although NFU mutual have said they will still take me on if I sort this out but unlikely that will be done before Monday and their next intake is in April. I don't know where to start. I know the check they done was through equifax but what do I do next?? TIA for any replies. Gaffer.
