  1. Hi, MiniCredit were featured on Radio Four's Money Box on Saturday 25th February. Suggest you go on to the Radio 4 website and listen to the programme. You may find it helpful, and very interesting. The FSA are aware of this company and their tatics. Although you cannot make an individual complaint to the FSA contact Consumer Direct and make a complaint. (08454 04 05 06) These are then notified to the FSA, who did say on Saturday, that they are investigating the whole PayDay business, and about time. If MiniCredit continue to harass you, ask them to take you court. I guarantee they will not. Make an affordable offer, affordable to you, not them. MAN IS THE ONLY ANIMAL THAT BLUSHES, OR NEEDS TO!
  2. Hi, You state that you have two receipts for the units collected, and you have received a 50% compensation payment from the courier company that collected the wrong item. Does that mean, the second courier company collected the correct unit and returned it to the catalogue company? If so, the catalogue company are in breach of their own returns policy. If you can provide proof of collection, by a courier company acting on the catalogue company's behalf, then your responsibility ended the moment that courier company collected the item. Adding interest to an account in dispute is morally wrong. May I suggest you write to the CEO or Managing Director of the Catalogue Company, explain, as you have done in your post, what happened. Enclose A COPY of both receipts, and put the ball firmly back in their court. If they refuse to take action, saying the matterr is now withn a debt collection agency, contact that company, and again, explain the situation. I would finish your letter with this comment. 'Should you wish to pursue the matter further, please issue proceedings against me in my local County Court. I will defend any action, and produce into evidence all documentation relating to this matter' They will not want to go to court. Also, if they wrongly filed a debt against your name with the relevant agencies, that is tantamount to 'defamation'. Request they remove the debt registration, or you will consider issuing proceedings again them for defamation. Keep a copy of all letters, and note times and names of persons you speak to over the telephone, also brief notes relating to the conversation. Man is the only animal that blushes, or needs to!
  3. Hi, to this site I am a newbie, however, I have also had a recent run in with MH, and have been threatened with a visit from their terrorist arm. My response, in writing, was; Should any representative of Meritforce or MH attempt to access my property, (that includes walking across my property to gain access to the front door) I will instigate Civil Proceedings against both companies and their representatives for trespass. As I have forewarned them, in writing, should they attenpt a 'doorstep visit' , they cannot claim a legitimate exuse for any visit. Further, if you dispute the account in any shape or form, suggest THEY take you to court. Their response will be, 'we don't do that'. Then ask them why? What you will receive is absolute silence. DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE THREATENED BY THIS COMPANY. Complain to the OFT, the more the merrier. Their licence is annual and can be revoked if a sufficient number of legitimate complaints are received by the OFT. Ayrshire Trading Standards would also be interested.
