  1. If I have my facts right - Lombard became First National Tricity Finance Ltd in 1999, they are now apart of GE Money.
  2. Hi Thank you very much for your help - I will post an update as soon as I hear something. Regards
  3. No, not tied into the company, could not proceed as I have no loan agreement number. Could try a SAR just in case the guy I spoke didn't do an extensive search. The problem here is there have been so many company name changes my details, if still accessible, could be held anywhere in the country. Regards
  4. Hi Afraid it was a claim company, but upon finding this forum I would have carried out the claim myself. Yes, it was just an informal request. Would it be worth submitting an SAR given the timescale? Regards
  5. Hi First post - hope it's in the correct forum. I need a little help as I have now hit a brickwall. We took a loan out with First National Bank in 1991, it was over 15yrs, it was paid off in 2004. We have been informed that we have a claim for miss sold PPI, it was taken out even though I had an ongoing illness, it cost £1600 for the first 5yrs but was added on to the original loan for the full term. My problem is I have no correspondence regarding this loan, no account or loan agreement number. I have found out that First National Bank is/was a part of GE Money, I have contacted them and was asked to write in with as many details as possible so they could search their system, this was 4 weeks ago and have heard nothing. I rang them last night and a guy did an archive search on their system. they came up with nothing, he did give me two phone numbers, one was an old number for First National Tricity Finance and the other was Santander Cards, he said as it was an unsecured my loan the details may be held with either of these companies which are connected with GE consumer credit. I feel I may be getting the run around or this could be a futile task. Before I go in to it further, have I got a claim if I had a loan agreement number, if I have, where is the best place to start looking for it, will there be a record of it somewhere , or will it have been destroyed. I'd be grateful for any advice, if more information is required I'd be happy to provide it.
