  1. Unfortunately all I got is his bank account details, his phone number and his eBay account. The area he lives In is two hours from me
  2. Hi, admin feel free to shift this to the appropriate place if not appropriate. I found a motorbike I liked on eBay, it was on auction and I asked the seller if I offered him his full asking price would he hold the bike for two weeks for me, he said yes but with a £200 deposit. He left the auction to end with no bids and hasn't relisted it. I transferred the deposit to his bank account as requested. I was meant to be picking it up this week and he's not answering his phone, texts or eBay messages. Do I have any leg to stand on getting my money back? If so how would I do it? Thanks
  3. Account started 18/06/2004 Debt defaulted 1/1/2012 Can anyone tell me about default dates as I don't think I have paid into this debt since about 2006 possibly? It's now with Mckenzie hall
  4. Well I registered with noddle and it's saying my default date is 1/5/14 :/
  5. It's 18 months old. Made a few payments and defaulted. I don't know about my credit file I haven't ever looked at it .. I'm going to need to. Will do that tommorow. Do I get the result straight away or through the post ?
  6. I have a credit card debt with Vanquis bank for £720 It has been passed onto Lucas credit services I have defaulted payments for a year and now have debt collectors at my old address. Can anyone give me any advice of what to do ? I know I'm an idiot , got myself into a right pickle after works overtime was restricted to none basically!
  7. I haven't had any dealings with debt collectors unfortunately. They rang again today on a 0300 , I answered it and they hung up straight away. Weird :/
  8. Ok thanks for the replies. What do I say if they call again ? I'm not home often, I have a answer machine and no messages were left but I checked my call history function and I have a lot of calls from 0300 and lots from local dial code numbers I don't recognise. The call I answered said ' out of area' .
  9. Hi, I received a call to my house phone today and the lady asked if my husband was in and I said hah I'm not married, she said ok is your partner in? I said sorry you must be mistaken I don't have a partner either, she said ok we are trying to contact Nathan, it's Barclays Bank . This person is my ex, he lives at another address , I provided them with his mobile number. I called him stating what the call was about, he rang Barclays and there's no record of a call made to him or a reason why, now he has two missed calls on his mobile from Mckenzie hall. How do I deal with this? Surely it's wrong to ring someone else's house phone trying to find another person and state they are from a bank !? Any help would be appreciated thanks
  10. I have recently started receiving text messages to my landline three times a day, first one is at 8am. The debts they are chasing are for an account not paid into for well over 5 years. I have received no letters, just these texts. Does anybody know how I can request they only contact me in writing? Sick of the morning call and sick of the 3 messages on my answer phone every day
  11. Ok, so i parked in a disabled bay one lovely day when it was absoloutely chucking down with rain and i had my 9 month old daughter with me. There was 1 mother and baby parking space left, I went to take it, and somebody jumped in front of me and parked in it, to my dismay a single man got out with NO kids and casually strolled off. There was about 20 free disabled bays left so i took one of those as any other free space was quite a walk away and my already ill daughter wouldnt of appreciated getting soaked. My mum went into the tesco store and asked somebody if it would be ok to park there and they said yes thats fine. To my shock, about 6 weeks after parking in this bay i get a letter adressed to me (wrong house number on it though :/) stating they put a notice on my car, and seeing as i ignored this £30 charge its now £60 and if i dont pay within 10 days i will be made to pay £100. I email an appeal stating what i just said, and they send me photos of my car with said notice on. I replied this was NOT on my car when i got back to it and i'd like CCTV to show i took it off before paying. anyone know my rights regarding this as 100% honestly the notice was not on my car when i got back to it otherwise i would of complained to the branch? I wouldnt mind paying the £30 fine but £60 is a bit steep for me
