  1. I am concerned because I had a visit from council employee checking a housing benefit claim. As far as I know I have not been given any rebate. I live with my son and when he went self employed last year it was as the new bill came out so I rang housing dept and told them and returned the change of circs form. Now I am concerned that maybe I have had benefit that I should not have and that a large bill will be looming. Surely they would have checked before now. The visitor said that the home visit list he was working thru was made up last year and so probably in response to my asking them to amend my circs. I am feeling very concerned.
  2. What sort of proof do I have to provide to council tax people re past claims and for how many years back? What will they accept as proof of income? Any information would be welcome.
