noted. what if they insist that the debt has been passed on to them? would i be able to say that no ill pay bg right away? given that i will tell bcw that i will give proof of my payment from bg to them. i'm a little concern here as i already have letter to give the issue to the court. can they do this when i'm trying to resolve the problem/ According to what you guys have helped with me. I should do the following 1. mentioned that the account is on hold and have no right to do this as i am trying resolved and give more documents 2. i will call bg right away and will write another letter to bcw that i'll deal with them directly and will send the proof if i have anything to settle with them that should do it yes?

thats very useful! so i guess they cant charge me with my gas bills now am i correct? now left only with the electircity bills...

So If I get BG to confirmed the payment and send the letter to BCW it should be sorted correct? Furthermore, I thought they don't have the power to take me court?? Can anyone explain to me how they work here? The thing is that I'll probably move back to my home country in 2 months..is it just possible to keep sending them emails and try to get confirmation from BG and stall them until i go back?? I know it's not the adult way of doing things...but i have paid those bills and provided evidence( i have paid the gas bill 6 months more than they have asked for a year)...and if they still want to proceed...then i wont even be there to do this anymore... any sugesstions again please? thank you.

Hello, I would kindly like anyone's advice on this. I currently have been harassed by BCW group to collect the payment of my previous place which I left a year ago already. They have requested for me to pay for the two debts which are from August 2010 - July 2011 for the gas and electricity bills. I have stayed in this place only from August 2010 - March 2011. I have contacted them and sent my proof of payment for the gas and electricity bills as I have stayed there from August 2010 - Feb 2011 (as for the March 2011 I remember calling British gas to say that I am moving out and everything was fine). I have also sent them the meter reading, contracts of my new place and old place, council tax to confirmed that I have paid and moved on. However, they said that I may be held two place and they can't proved that I have stayed until I have sent another confirmation from my old agent that I have moved on. I was able to sent that confirmation to them as well. The account has been on hold by them but I have once again received a letter threatening me to court. I do not know what to do anymore as I have sent all the proof I can give them. If they still insist on this matter, can they actually take me court if it's around 300 pounds for these two bills. I am way too tired to handle this and think that it won't matter how many documents I sent them. If anyone has any advice on this will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
