  1. Bank came back via their solicitor offering aprox 10k out of the 26k that is owed....admission of guilt on their part. They are just wondering wether or not I have the stomach for a fight at this point, oh yes, would be the answer. I'll keep you posted folks. A
  2. LTWFB can't belive the stress you've had after the Northern...I'll email you privately. Fingers crossed
  3. I don't know how it will go I need a template letter to send them to reclaim the money first to see then what their reply is...Could anyone send me a link to a template....thanks
  4. Cant believe they settled......my SAR is interesting not flattering shall we say...Soooooooooooo delighted you got there in the end....do you think the papers would be interested in 22.5k.....now confirmed by their own records(N Bank that is)....
  5. Folks finalised all the info supplied by the NB from the SAR request and the 6 years which was delivered on day 40. Final figures on 2 accounts aprox 22.5k.....this does not include the 26k overdraft they forced me to convert to...moving at the moment...hence lack of activity on site. Going to request return of charges need advice on the overdraft, the quickest route to the relevent info.
  6. Hey folks I have got info back from the NB everything as requested going back the full six years...and every thing on my SAR fro the start....let me know if you need the contacts details I will email privately.
  7. James900, Tell me more about getting the 41k....not only did they rob me over the above charges they then bullied me into taking out a loan to repay the charges secured against my house, nice eh so any pointers for these large amounts would be very much welcomed...I am determined to get back what I am owed. Cheers Anaconda
  8. Been a bit of a busy week then!! I spend a good deal of thim in the ROI(Republic of Ireland) The Nat Irish Bank also bought by the Dansk Bank just prior to the Bank robbery(from the Bank of Australia) are even having all their external signage done to match the Northern, not the case before. I will grab a copy of their charges and contract details during the week this week, you will find them interesting to compare. I have found the same with the Ulster Bank, the difference in charges north and south are dumbfounding given they have the same, cost base.... To be honest I cannot see how they can defend their charges. How can I put this, the Irish banks are the most profitable in the whole of Europe, hence Dansk Banks purchase of the NB and NIB but get this the Northern Irish Banks are the most profitable of all. We get so ripped off. Fact Dansk Bank Bought NB because it was the most profitable bank in Europe. I think there may well be a possiblity that the Dansk bank will just pay up all the cases claimed, as most of the money they will be able to claw back from the Bank of Austraila (covered by the purchase contract between the two banks), and it would be better as a new comer to the market to take some loss leaders and distance themselves from that immoral banking as practiced by the Bank of Australia and somewhat poetically get the Bank of Oz to pay for it. Remember this Aquisition by the Dansk Bank took place 2 days before the NB was robbed...I love it the NB must feel they are in a quagmire.
  9. Hold it for court.....don't let them know you know.
  10. Me tooooo wouldn't miss it....email me privately details and when it will be interesting getting together and comparing note to damning note....I have few things that will be of interest to others. Reckon I'll be needing some moral support myself in the not to distant.
  11. No idea but I'm as interested as you must be....bet its all action at head office for Norma and the girls!!
  12. My fingers and toes are crossed for you....Norma....ah Norma.....she's the not so bright one(or very convincing at playing it dumb) I've spoken to her a couple of times..........she's the one quoting £6 per sheet.....go check you facts luv....
  13. Ah well, they have it from today, having waited this long, it doesn't make much difference. They definately have it now though. I'll just have to bide my time.
  14. Just got the standard letter on Friday the £6 per sheet microfiche, undue effort on the banks part....bla bla bla. They didn't get the fee, so they are trying to move it all back(40 days) until todays date when I gave them cash at the branch this morning, got them to sign off as received. They have 5 days from today to produce all the transaction details, not my fault they "lost" the letter I emailed a copy to them 10 days ago, detailing the exact pages I required(5%) as most of the last 6 years I have the statements. So on the 15th I write to request repayment of the detailed charges, less their costs of course. Need to decide soon which way to proceed. I will keep you posted. The bank are playing the game of pretend to know nothing, sadly for them that is no defence.
  15. Weighing up the pros and cons....Not sure how to proceed.
  16. No me but read the listings many have already. Not the amount I'm talking though, looking forward to being a first!! The Ulster Bank paid off a taxi driver, he told them the was suing them in the morning Radio Ulster I believe got hold of it. Get this....£2500 credited to his account by the afternoon. The old media....who said they were all bad. Ha...NB just called back nice as pie....ha....recieved my email with letter attached, a copy of the letter sent on 6th requesting missing statements. turns out pages numbers are no good, they need dates, bet they say the same in reverse when you provide them with the dates, any excuse. 18 days to go and counting. The SAR they want a written request said I would drop it in tomorrow by hand.
  17. I have posted the details on my own thread which should confuse since I am dealing with the Northern Bank, it is filed under other institutions, so hopefully people will be able to find it. Thread is call Northern Bank 25k plus of bank charges.
  18. Sorry Chief, It causes much confusion, so not anti brit.....I assume you are well versed in this area..
  19. I know it sound mad but the money is a side issue...if a big one. They were grossly negligent if not malicious in their dealing with me, and that's acccording to the solicitor. God knows how many others they have done it to. So let them squirm as they did to me. When they were charging £800/£900 p month didn't think to give me a call their attitude was your account your problem...so what were they charging me for. it wasn't service. They bounced charity donations for £5 month after month and charged me £15 referral fee and returned DD fee £38 a pop....didn't take long to add up. They were so aggressive in the approach, right back at you boys.....I don't even feel emotional any more just clinical and resolute....They should be very afraid. Cos when this is over I will be happy to sing like a canary to the press. I hope it helps others.
  20. Bank of Ireland details Company details etc... sorry posted on wrong thread.....very clever. Check my thread Northern Bank 25k+ of charges all details on that thread if irrelevent to it! The BOI is registered at Companies House in Belfast, 2 Companies registered Address's on BOI UK Holdings at Donegall sq sth, the other BOI Business located at central ave in Bangor(Co Down). I'm pretty sure this makes them subject to Northern Irish which is UK. not ROI. A common mistake, Ireland is just Ireland to the English!! Sorry not having a pop..
  21. Bank of Ireland details Comany numbers as registered at Companies House in Belfast Bank of Ireland UK Holdings(Belfast) No. NI 006941 I Donegall Sq Sth Address Bank of Ireland Business(Bangor) No. NI 014594 26-32 Central Avenue bangor BT20 3AF. I am pretty sure they are subject to NI UK Law as they are UK NI registered companies. Hope this helps.
  22. I am trying to acertain the best approach I want to get it right....and get as much out of them as possible as that is the only thing they understand. So any pointers will be most gratefully recieved....As far as the charges are concerned I have 95% of statements anyway, just waiting for remainder, the missing ones were accruing aprox £800 per month in charges....and they just kept going month after month, after month. Solicitor says most irresponsible, and he is happy to persue them through the courts as he thinks the evidence is damning from the bank's point. Lets hope he's right...he's not at all fond of them and has a good reputation. I think they will take it much more seriously coming through the Solicitor....maybe I an wrong.
  23. Try 1 Donegall Square South Belfast BT15LR Or telephone them on 02890 433000 and ask for their Customer Relations. I have just spoken to them and the address is their Head office in Northern Ireland as told by BOI. I would have thought they must have a service address in the North(UK), as the Banking Law Differs from the South of Ireland(ROI), not to mention currency. Understand unlike you I have never worked for them, so could be very wrong, but I have accounts in both the North and South (€ and £). The BOI in the North must be registered as a company to trade in the North i am led to believe. Hope this helps...let me know.
  24. There is a customer relations unit.....very big apparently. The Manager's email address is [email protected] I spoke to Patricia, very helpful. The number I used is 02890 556345. Ask for Customer relations and to Speak to Brenda. Hope this helps I got through OK.
