Hello everyone Found this site by browsing the web. I have this problem. I received a phone call today from a creditor ( didn't catch name ) telling me that i have outstanding court fines and they have a 'distress warrant'. I did have fines which were paid of in sept 2003, my court confirmed that, this is the only fines which i know off, i told the lady on the phone this and she advised me to contact Basingstoke Magistrate court. So i called them and they told me that i have 6 in total outstanding, i fell of my chair, i told her that all the fines i have had were paid off when they got transferred to my court in Dundee, she told me to phone my bank and Dundee court. I hang up and call Dundee court who tell me that 6 fines show in total, 3 were paid and 3 were transferred in error ( dunno what that means ). I call Basingstoke back and obviously spoke to another girl to tell her this, they are still showing 6 fines one with a distress warrant, so she told me she will get her manager to call me because things are not adding up. All advice is welcome because i am pretty mad that these " new " fines have somehow appeared, please help. Thanks
