Has anybody had any dealings with this company? They have wrote to me about a debt owing to Carphone Warehouse, I responded telling them I dont acknowledge any debt outstanding to them and got this repsonse: 'The contract was taken out with Carphone Warehouse in October 2004, the contract length was 12 months. It was disconnected in September 2005, and the last payment made in regards to this account was December 2008. Your request for proof of the debt is not valid in this case as the funds are owed cirectly to Carphone Warehouse.' The problem is I have never paid this account to any debt company or Carphone Warehouse after 2005, so I dont know who has been paying this account up until 2008. Would this account be statue barred as its from 04/05 or is it still valid as somebody was making payments on this account? This account also doesnt show on any of my credit reports. Does anybody know how I should deal with this company? They havent sent me proof that I owe this, and I am sure they havent got any proof that I have made payments regarding this account after 2005.
