  1. thanks for the replies i'll get him to phone the court today, and the bailiff. no-one can find the dvla documents for the bike. so its all a bit confusing as to what happened, obviously our main objective is to stop the bailiffs visiting my neighbours house.
  2. Yes he had moved and it was for not sending new keeper document. he thought other boy was doing it. He moved out dec 2011.
  3. would be grateful for a bit of advice. while my son was boarding with a neighbour down the road, he sold his motor bike to his land ladies son. there was a mix up about who was sending the documents to the DVLA and my son has ended up with a magistrates fine. my son moved back to london last year to compete with the British team. got busy and forgot to deal with it. Today my neighbour got a letter from Marston saying that he has to pay the £302 magistrates fine and £85 bailiff fees. in 7 days IN FULL. there was no phone customer number to phone just a payment line only. He no longer lives at her address but from what i hear they may break in to her property if they dont believe he's not there. and i dont want her having any hastle obviously. he wants to phone and sort it out but he can not afford to pay in full and i didnt think they could charge fees for a magistrates fine. so my question is how best can he deal with this or can he get them to put it back to the courts! any advice is gratefully recieved Edit. just noticed the date on the letter is 11 feb and i only got it today (15th), been given 7 days to pay. so its got to be paid by Sunday!
  4. hi, just need a little advise. i had a visit today from marston who left a 'removal notice' in my door. as far as i am aware they have not been to the house before. I had a penalty fine for failure to display tax disk (dvla never sent it) . at the time i was struggling to find £500 a month to pay another bailiff, so i put it off, i know totally my fault. the original letter was for £90 fine + £75 fees. now on the removal notice its gone up by £200 to £365, Can they charge this much!!!!?? a couple of weeks ago i went Bankcrupt as i couldnt take the stress anymore. and have been busy trying to get things ready for the OR. I assume they cannot levy distress on anything as my assets belong to the OR (not like i have much) I want to phone and make instalments, i just want to know where i stand and be armed when i phone any help would be much appreciated.
  5. Hi thanks for the response, The bailiff is Ross & Roberts civil enforcement agents acting for south somerset district council for business rates. I was a sole trader and ceased trading in july, i have now signed a surreder of lease so have no right to access the property.
  6. please i need to know if ross and roberts can breack into the business premises now that i have surrendered the leese
  7. mostly mine, including my car, a tv belongs to my son and the desks where there when i got the building and the landlord said i could have them. all the other stuff they put down is mostly rubbish. its not my stuff i'm worried about but i have no-where else to put it so left it at the building
  8. I have recently gone out of business and have just started on an IVA arraingement. the bailiff has a walking possesion order on some of the things in the building i used to run, other people have their property in there and 2 gym clubs have equipment in there also. they expect me to come up with £500 a month and i only get child benefit and child tax credit. (£420) a month. They have threatened to come in and take everything if i dont keep up with payments, but i have run out of people to borrow the money from. I have signed a surrender of leese with the landlord so i am no longer responsible for the leese. I have sent an email to the council to ask them to take back the debt and offered £100 a month but they havent even answered me. There will be approximately 450 kids unable to do their gym if the bailiffs take their stuff. can the bailiffs still break in??
