Ok here goes started a case against BOS now received a letter saying they upheld my complaint. (This is for two credit cards one i am paying off direct to BOS the other was sold to CABOT in 2006 who i have sent a CCA letter to recently) This is where i need help on the bottom of the letter please be aware that if your credit card is in arrears or being handled by a collections or recoveries department of the bank when we make the refund , we will use or all of the ppi refund to repay towards these arrears. The letter they want me to sign says: I Mrs******* Accept the offer made as per the letter dated 25th August 2011 in full and final settlement of my complaint. (where a redress payment is appropriate this will be paid to you via a cheque. Please note that this will be made payable to the main account holder and not to any additional card holders.) I understand that where a refund is suitable it will include interest where appropriate. I understand that you will use part or all of the refund to repay any arrears or outstanding debt that may be due at the time the payment is made. ****************************************************************************************************** Thanks again for all your help

Yes i did sign and agree but was this a silly mistake???? The letter said since your account is now being handled by robinson way we will send the refund of £7000.00 direct to robinson way to reduce your outstanding balance. There was no option for the cheque to be made payable to me just saying if you agree please sign and off the cheque went to Robinson Way so my debt was reduced by £7000.00 i would have preferred to have that to my self On receipt of your signed acceptance we will make the necessary amendments and the payment will be made to Robinson Way. This was when i first started the ball rolling on all my PPI's so was DUMB after reading lots and lots maybe i made a mistake thanks again for you help.

Ok rang Lv today they have told me that the debt was sold to Robinson way in December 2008 Have now got two postal orders ready for £2.00 each for my wife and my self so will find out what they say. Really appreciate your quick response as i am making head ways in on about four credit companies thanks again IMS21.

Robinson Way not sure if they sold the debt ill ring them tomorrow

Hi all hopefully someone can help me i have had lots of success from Ppi after reading on this great site BUT have i made a big mistake i took out a loan with Frizzle now LV who have agreed to settle with an amount of nearly £7000.00 but i owe them over £19000.00 so they sent the debt to a claims firm . The letter they sent me said that the PPI money would be sent to the debt recovery company that i agreed with, but now i read that it should have come to me is this allowed or can i ask for the money to be sent to me thanks.
