Yes am sooooooooooooooooo aware of their underhanded approach!!! Keeping checking in on here to see yet more people been chased/threaten by them. Some day hopefully soon they got to be closed down. Want to say a BIG thank you for all the advice that everyone on here has given me.

Heard nothing back from HFO since I sent the last STRONG letter on the 5 October, DEFO not thinking that this is the end of it as after reading things on here where it says they go quiet and then you get another threatening letter out of the blue. Sent copies of all the documentation to Polly Ashford at OFT

Have checked with my bank today to see if any SO/DD had gone out of my account to Welcome and they have confirmed no there is nothing. VERY STRONG letter been sent to HFO tomorrow with a copy going to Polly Ashford @ OFT

Nothing shows on my credit report linking me to the address on the agreement. The signature looks a bit like mine. On the date the agreement was signed I would have been working over 45 miles away.

Well just arrived home after working away for a week to two HFO letters and my credit reports. The first HFO letter is the response to the request of documents I sent, they have sent me a copy of an agreement with an address on I've never lived at. The second letter says that investigation into my account is now complete and it has qualified for legal action, if they do not hear from me within 3 working days the debt will be passed on to their solicitors for legal action. One of the credit reports I've got back shows that HFO did a search on me on 30/08/2011, but there is nothing about monies oweing to them. The other credit report which has sent me into a state of shock shows I have a credit agreement with HFO Services Ltd, Start 31/03/2005 Default 11/2005. Is it now a case that I do a SAR to Welcome?

Have been checking daily to see if the "Prove It Letter" has been delivered to the HFO Surry office yet as it was sent recorded delivery on 12 September, each time I am getting the following message when I track it on Royal Mail website Item !!!!!!!! was posted at !!!!!!!! on 12/09/2011 and is being progressed through our network for delivery. Don't know if should send another "Prove It Letter" first class and get proof of sending or send it recorded delivery again? Any suggestions? Am still awaiting my credit reports to see if anything is on them from HFO

Will do. Is there a certain length of time I wait if they haven't replied to the letter and then send another one, or just wait to get another snotty letter?

Yes sent them a "Prove It Letter" on Monday recorded delivery to their Surrey address and their Registered Office in Croydon. Have checked on the Royal Mail website and Croydon have signed receipt for theres but Surrey is still in the Royal Mail system

Thanks everyone for your comments, I have been at my current address nearly 4 years. HFO don't say when they purchased the debt. Think best thing to do is wait until I receive my credit reports to see if anything from them shows up on it. Seems a mixed reaction to whether I should complain yet or wait till I can get further information.

Hi Like a lot of people on here have received a Reminder - Notice Of Assignment from HFO saying that I owe them £4079 re a debt HFO Capital Ltd have bought from Welcome. I've never had any dealings with Welcome and have never received anything previously from HFO until the NOA. I immediately contacted HFO when I received this but as it was the weekend it went onto an answer machine so I asked them to give me a call back and left my telephone number (I now realise this was a mistake after reading all the things on this forum and will not be answering any telephone numbers that I don't recognise). I sent an email the same day saying I DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THIS DEBIT and asked them me to send me copies of these so calls letters that I have received along with what this so called debt is for. Today no reply has been received I have now sent a "Prove It Letter" recorded delivery to them at there Surrey address as well as there registered office in Croydon. I have also requested copies of my credit reports to see if there is anything on there that relates to this debt and tomorrow will be sending them a CCA letter recorded delivery. I am aware after reading all the things on this site that its going to be a long drawn out battle with them where everything I do needs to be in writing and NO telephone conversations! What should I do next? Should I apply for a SAR or wait until I get a reply back from the CCA? Help/advice that anyone can offer would be much appreciated Thanks
