Hi. I’m new here. I need help coz don't know what to do. 2 weeks ago I received letter from collect services limited, which says I need to pay 611.82 for unpaid tickets: 18/01/2011-£167.44, 22/01/2011-£167.44, 31/01/2011-£167.44. (Which gives £502.32!!!!!! not 611.82) on the envelope was mob numb to call, which I did. The man was very rude, he said I need to pay all or he will clamp my car and take whatever he wants from house. I asked him to give me chance to say anything. I tried to explain that as a car owner I never found any tickets on the front screen. My car is parked in front of property on the street. I’m living in town centre area, where we do have zones so, to park own car I do need parking permit.( Maybe those tickets were removed by playing children on the street, as they do every day.)… Also in last 8 months I never received any letters from anyone about tickets- I don’t know anything about letters, as I’m renting room in sharing house. I asked him about any prove- like pictures of my car with tickets on the front screen or any recorded mail, coz if I did something wrong (as a honest person) i'd like to take responsibility for something what i did-even what didn’t know about, but to pay I need prove. He said he’ll call me back. In the meantime I rang road and traffic department to speak with manager. I explained all situation and asked is there any chance to check they archives for pictures or any copy of letters which they sent me, as I want to have prove to pay. the Lady said that is already too late, they keep records in archives for just 3 months, after that I need to send request somewhere else, but it takes 3 to 4 week- which I don’t have… the guy rang me back and said the same. He couldn’t prove me anything, but coz he started be rude and pushy and I was very scared so I agree to pay as much I could. He took my card details and I paid 451.82 and have to pay £160 next month. I was hoping all problems are sorted. Last Friday the guy came to my house, he introduce himself as a man from the phone. He gave me yellow letter from collect services limited (final pre removal advice- unpaid penalty charges) TOTAL DUE: £ 1590.96!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UNPAID TICKETS FOR MY PREVOUS CAR: 16.10.2010- £418.94 22.10.2010 -£399.74 30.12.2010- £350.14 04.10.2011- £422.14 I’m very upset and hopeless, I gave all my money which I have this month already- I don’t have even money for rent and food to next payday.( I’m earning up to £840 per month, I need to pay £400 for room + bills, £45 mobile phone bill, £ 150 car insurance/month… ) I tried to borrow some money but all what I’ve got is just £500. I’m very confused what to do now…. I never received any tickets any letters which me or my partner would remember of. Also why he came to my house? He didn’t have any id card; any prove of recording mail or pictures. Why the price for ticket from 04.01.201 is £422.14 and tickets from 18,22,31.01.2011 are 167.44 each? wierd:???:?! He said, there was 12 letters send to my property and 4 visits- I spoke with my house mates and they don’t know anything about it. Also it’s not fair , that no one gave me chance to pay 35£ -which I would do, if I’d find tickets or letters. I couldn’t even go to court to explain, coz I didn’t know about it. I do know, that court will agree to pay monthly- as my partner do for his tickets. Sorry for my long letter, I’m so nervous that I can’t even express myself. Please anyone help me what should I do. I don’t have money. I don’t want my car to be clamp; I don’t want to have any problems. I just wish to sort it out properly ASAP. kind regards.
