The fees which you have been applying to my account in relation to late fees and insufficient payment charges, are unlawful at Common Law, Statute and recent Consumer regulations. I calculate that you have taken to date a total of £XXX.00. in penalty charges which you had applied unlawfully to my account. I require repayment in full of this money plus interest. Yours faithfully, J.T Hi Again, Are insufficient payment charges unlawful. I.E. if you don't pay your full monthly payment ?.   4. Hi dx, Thank you, As far as I know the only charges/fees I have so far are £12.00, So I will start to make an SOC now BUT will I have to do another each time they add more charges/fees to my Acc and get that of to them each time with a Cover Letter?. Regards J.T

Hi Gez, dx, ims, Just to keep you informed about the PPI Claim Royal Mail say: Item AIXXXXXXXXGB was posted at P/O on 27/08/11 and is being progressed through our network for delivery. so not much happening as yet with that one. As for the Financial statement posted the same day as the above, Royal Mail say: Your item with reference AIXXXXXXXOGB was delivered from our xxxxx Delivery Office on 31/08/11. Hi Gez, Thank you, I know I have been double checking everything with you all twice and I don't mean to over complicate it all I just don't won't to stuff it up and give the PPI a way out through a mistake that I make, as I got my family in this debt in the first place and it is such a burden on us all, I have been like a fish on a hook when my family needed anything the only place I could go for it was back to this Creditor.   7. Hi dx, Can I just check with you again does the below matter to my claim?. This was in 2010. "My wife reminded me that after I canceled my account cover plus (PPI) as it was making the repayments so high I phoned the insurer to see I had been miss sold the account cover plus insurance, I was on Incapacity Benefit at the time, they told me I had not been miss-sold the insurance as they would have paid up if I had to stay in hospital, so I believed them and did not take it further.". Regards J.T AS I FOUND THIS POST ONLINE You have to make your claim to the FOS no more than 6 months after you first complained to the company.You also have to have complained to the FOS no more than three years from the time that you could reasonably have been expected to have been aware that you had been mis-sold the insurance. is this correct?

Hi ims, Thank you, I just need to check a few dates out regarding the bold text below it should take about a day to check my paper work, but one things for sure I did not work at any point in time before or after I had this PPI. So I must have been miss-sold this PPI. unless they have a get out in there Cover Terms. "2002 I had just moved into the house that I had bought I was not working but was looking for a job but I had a health problem I was living of a few grand I left over from buying my house but my money was running out so I had to signed on, my health problem then later made it impossible for me to work and I went on Incapacity Benefit. So that I can get the claim going now. 18/JAN/2003 Account Cover Plus Insurance started. APR 2002 I moved into a new house and I was living on the money left over from the sale of my old house after buying a new house. JAN/2003 Got Great Universal catalogue - now K and Co. 18/JAN/2003 PPI no fee. (Account Cover Plus Insurance) 18/FEB/2003 PPI first payment to PPI. (Account Cover Plus Insurance). MARCH/ 2003 Signed on Jobseeker's Allowance, first paid by them mid APR 2003 by bank giro. MAY/2003 Jobseeker's Allowance claim ceased as Incapacity benefit took over as income support and this claim is continuous. 26/08/2011 Cancled Account Cover Plus Insurance. Thank you all. Regards J.T
  12. Hi Gez, Thank you, is this one better now: I am writing in relation to the above payment protection (PPI) policy which I believe was mis-sold to me. I believe you have not treated me fairly for the following reasons; I was not employed at the time I took the insurance – so it would have been impossible for me to make a valid insurance claim - and was not asked about this. You have been punished by the Financial Services Authority for failing to treat customers fairly and I do not believe that the PPI I bought was sold in my best interest. Unless you can prove that the policy was fair and reasonable and that I was treated fairly when I was sold the insurance, I demand a full refund of all premiums, and subsequent interest on these payments - Total £12093.88, that I have paid in relation to this policy. I also expect 8% interest to be added to each payment I have made as this is the statutory amount a court would pay. I look forward to your full and prompt response to this letter. If this matter is not settled within eight weeks of this letter I shall be contacting the Financial Ombudsman to investigate my complaint. ============= Yours faithfully,.   13. Hi again, Regarding the cover letter is this ok: I believe I have been mis-sold a payment protection insurance policy and would like to request a full refund of my premiums, plus interest paid. When I took out the payment protection insurance policy, I was not employed - so it would have been impossible for me to make a valid insurance claim. I am requesting a full refund of all my insurance payments, plus interest. If I do not receive a favourable response from you I will pursue this claim through the Financial Ombudsman. " Dear sir/madam, I am requesting a full refund of my Account cover plus that was mis-sold to me as the Account cover plus was worthless to me because of my employment position I.E. The last letter I got from K&Co was from the Arrears Collection Department, Do I send the two letters to them ?. Am I right that they should be sent recorded signed for tracked?. Regards J.T
  18. Hi ims21 & Gez, Thank you for the quick reply, The £9000 I owe K&Co includes some items that are buy now pay 2012 with interest would we have to pay the full interest if this gets paid off sooner that's if we are lucky to get our PPI back?. THIS IS THE REVISED SPREADIE. Regards J.T

Please have a look at it for me as I have no idea what I am doing and let me know if it's ok. I used the bezzyCap1.xls file that dx gave me to download, I change the Interest rate up the top right and left to 29.9% as that's what I believe is K&Co's Interest rate but I am not sure about that (would it have been 29.9% from 2003 to 2010) or would it have changed as this is not clear from the statements as far as I can see so if anyone knows better please do let me know. Regards J.T Hi again, On the PPI-consumer-questionnaire: Question A4 "POLICY NUMBER" So far in looking at all the ten years of paper work I have only two Account CoverPlus papers they say "This is your certificate confirming cover" it says "your reference number is 123/45678910". "Please quote this number in any correspondence with us". "This is to certify that the insurers will indemnify". I am asking Because: Question C1 "WHAT WAS THE ACCOUNT NUMBER FOR THIS". "This number will be different to the insurance policy number you filled in on page one". My catalogue account number was 123/45678910 in 2003 when they were called Great Universal, but they changed the account number some years later to 109/87654321 when they renamed to First, they then renamed again to K&Co, and the account number remained the same 109/87654321. Would the 123/45678910 number be the POLICY NUMBER needed for Question A4 or could it be that I have never received a POLICY NUMBER. I can't see why the POLICY NUMBER would be missing if it's not the above (123/45678910). as I have every statement and paper for all the 10 years. Hope I am making sense. Regards J.T
