Hi, new to forum so please be gentle!!! Would like to claim back PPI, took out loan with HSBC at time i was working self employed 14-15 hours per week, but for 3 - 4 clients at a time (I was a registered childminder), so income was good.....when I applied for the loan i explained this to the sales person, face to face in branch. She said that this was ok at technically I was working more than 16 hours as I was working for more than one client. Is this correct??? subsequently my income reduced due to children not needing a childminder any more but my hours stayed the same, when I rang the bank to explain my situation they said that there probably wasnt any point trying to claim on PPI as I was still earning!! I would have had to have stopped working all together to have had to claim and informed inland revenue. Do I have a case?????? Many thanks..... will probably be looking for a bit of help in various areas as since looking on here have discovered that I no nothing about finance!!!
