Hi, new to this but thought someone may be able to clarify things for me. Having read some of your posts I may have been misled. In Nov 2009 i used a company to try to write off my card. They wrote to me saying that yes there was an issue with contract (HSBC Credit Card) but HSBC deny this and so end of story, after advising me to stop making my payments. I was struggling financially and then my partner died suddenly and I was in real trouble. HSBC said tough. Passed it to MCS who as you all say only want the money from you. I put a note on my credit file saying that i disputed this account etc From what you have written, can they do this legally?
