Why you should use your statutory rights...
matt99b replied to gyzmo's topic in General Consumer Issues
thing is, would anyone actually bother to go through all of this for small amounts? It seems to me that there needs to be some kind of enforcement agency who fines any company for refusing to operate within the law from the first instance, without needing the consumer to write endless complaints. -
Hi everyone, my first post I just made an order online at 5pm today (friday) for £15 + £10 postage. I was told that it had missed the post and it would be posted on monday to arrive with me on Tuesday. 20 minutes later, I realised I could buy it elsewhere with an extra included that would save me £20. I wrote back to cancel the order, but the guy replied: "sorry but the order has already been processed as I rushed it through, it should be with you Monday or Tuesday next week, it would cost more than the actual product to put it back into stock (£50 cancelation fee)" I don't believe he has posted the item. I won't make a fuss as he seems like a nice guy, and to be honest I'm thoroughly exhausted with having to argue for my rights.. it's looking like once a week lately and it takes the life out of me. I'm just curious to know where the law stands for the future, or if there is nothing I can do Thanks
