  1. Wirral Council have: 1. Failed to issue with me with any council tax bill, statutory demand, or court paperwork. Wirral council have sent all documents in relation to council tax to a house occupied by tenants. Wirral Council have sent documents not in relation to council tax to my home address. Surely this is maladministration????? This was pointed out to a Mrs. C*** whose role was to decide whether bankruptcy went ahead against me or not. 2. Failed to take into account that I am able to produce affidavits from previous tenants stating that they owe the council tax bill and not myself. 3. Wirral Council have failed to provide me with a Subject Access Request under the Data Protection Act. 4. Wirral Council have also failed to provide me with the correct details of their bank account, this resulted in a payment of £2,500.00 the day after it was intended to be paid. As this payment was made after the Court hearing, bankruptcy went ahead. Wirral Council have failed to answer any of my concerns. Can anyone advise on what I can do next? My position: I was working for a russian software company outside UK. I return to UK last christmas to find out that Wirral Council is making me bankrupt. My christmas visit is still not finished, it is now July. Needless to say, i have lost my programming job, i have lost my apartment and am in debt for rental of my apartment because i had to remain in UK to sort out bankruptcy. I had a meeting with Mrs. c*** of Wirral Council and explained to her the above. I am now in UK, unemployed, bankrupt, - all to the actions of wirral council and their inability to contact me or take into account my various examples of their maladministration. The benefits system here is useless. I am a UK citizen, I was born here, yet, because I worked for a russian employer last year and was outside UK i am not classed as being habitually resident in UK and therefore i am not entitled to any benefits. Wirral Council have seriously messed up my life due to their errors! I have had to borrow and borrow and borrow money from family and friends and i am no further forward than i was 6 months ago! If anyone can help or advise, please let me know. Thanks!
  2. the bankruptcy hearing went ahead in my absence! I was waiting in the wrong area of the court, when I found out I was in the wrong area, I was already 4 minutes late for the court hearing, during which time i was made bankrupt! I am hoping to use ECHR article 6 for this, right for a fair trial.... any ideas about this please?
  3. i am still waiting for my SAR from Wirral Council for over 3 months! Its interesting to see that Wirral Council has messed you around also in bankruptcy!
  4. Hello, I hope somone will be able to give me some advice, if its possible to annul a bankruptcy. Wirral Borough Council made me bankrupt a few months ago for Council Tax. After numerous phone calls and emails, I had a meeting with a Mrs. C**n of Wirral Borough Council, I explained to her the following: 1. I do not owe Council Tax, the house was occupied by a family / tenants, they were responsible for council tax. 2. Another house was empty. 3. All Council Tax documents and Bankruptcy documents were sent to an address in Wirral, whilst all other documents not in relation to Council Tax or Bankruptcy were sent to my home address. I was unaware of any debt. I also offered to pay £200 per month to clear the debt until such time that I could prove that I do not owe the debt. I was told this would not be acceptable and that a payment of £2,300.00 would stop the Bankruptcy. I paid £2,500.00 but as it was a late payment, bankruptcy went ahead. It was late due to the reasons of Wirral Borough Council giving me information that was not sufficient enough to make payment. I requested fottage of the CCTV in order to show that wrong details were given, however, Wirral Council failed in their obligations under the Data Protection Act. I need to stop this Bankruptcy, to annul it. Any ideas or help appreciated, thanks!
