Hiya all I sorry I haven't been on for a few days but I normally get emails informing me if someone has posted and unfortunately this never happened The figures we quoted are all from whatcar.com which is a good site for car valuations I am pleased to inform you all that carcraft have sorted everything I got my trade in car back yesterday and they have cancelled the finance and the whole deal and we have be assured that everything will be sorted and confirmed by Monday 13 June 2011 After contacting linzi she arranged a meeting with one of the area managers. Who listened to our case and resolved the whole matter within 2days. I shall repost monday to let you all know what is happening and when the cancellation has been confirmed Thanx for all your help advice and support and thank you linzi for listening to us and helping us get our case sorted
  2. So if the finance company agree to cancell their part of the deal as they have already said they will, will you carcraft cancell yours You still have the car at the end of the day
  3. My point is that I have been charged more than what the car cost brand new and the cars I have seen cheaper are within ur company. Karen
  4. yeh the whole street was out we have a park over the road so most of the neighbours were out in the sun my sister me and mum were in the house CarCraft leeds have the car and have had it since sunday morning
  5. My mum took the car back on the 29/5/85 cos they told her to and 2guys turned up at our house with the car telling my mum she had to have the car it was horrible and also 1 of them had spat all in the car its gross
  6. its fine postggj thanx for your help i just feel like i am been told the same thing in different ways. its very frustrating because its just put a downer on what should have been an awesome present, its sad that people are being mislead especially when we asked if we could cancell and was told we had 14days. Thay have jsut called saying that we can not swop the car or cancell the finance all i want is a car worth £7,229 and i would be happy they are saying that is what they valued it at but thats not the book price and to find cars cheaper on ther website and on new plates is gutting we contacted the police after they came to our house trying to bully us and they said its a civial matter but because they have come to the house it becomes more serious i know my local MP and will dicuss the matter with him later thanx for your help guys
  7. i agree with postggj you did not tell us that because we signed on site we lost our consumer rights and i do not understand how that can be. we were told serveral times that we could cancell and then to find out after that it cancells it out because we came in store is shocking.
  8. so you are saying that if the finance company and yourselves agree we can cancell the sale. i mean we only signed on saturday and CarCraft Leeds still have the car so can we not just sort it the finance company are willing to cancell but you have to agree. we do not want a slagging match we jsut want to be treat fairly and to be sold a car at the market value not at nearly twice its value i am still waiting for someone to contact me in regards to this situation
  9. but we was not told this we were lead to believe that we could cancell the deal, and the finance company have told us that we can not cancell, the issue is not the finance the issue is the fact that we were charged £7,299 for a car that is worth £4,500 used and £7,000 brand new i could get a brand new 107 for less then £7,000 im just upset that we were told your prices were competative and we wouldnt find it cheaper anywhere else and to go onto your own website and find the car on new plates cheaper is a disgrace
  10. but if you do not inform people of this situation are you not miss selling, im just wanting clarification as to where we stand because we were told that we had the right to cancell and now we find out we dont.
  11. but they are saying they can not cancell it trading standards are also looking into it aswell so hopefully they will be able to sort it out. we have done everything we can we returned the car tried to cancell the policy but it seem they are in leagues with each other and are unwilling to cancell it. they said that there is not a cooling off period and right to cancell but when we were at the showroom we were told several times that we had the right to cancell. also when we spoke to the sales manager on saturday they told us to bring the car back and they would cancell it but when we got there they refused it so upsetting because i dont even have a car now as i traded mine in also i just feel bad for my mum she doesnt deserve this xx
  12. we returned the car in less then 24hrs and voiced our concerns about the price of the car about 2hrs after the purchase we also contacted the finance company within this time and are still being told be can not cancell the policy or the sale. we dont even have the car anymore we took it back to CarCraft leeds on the 29/05/11 and we only purchased it on 28/05/11 im soo upset my mum is stressed out and she could do without the hassle the manager has been calling us back since this morning and i recontacted them and they still have not been intouch. its a disgrace to be more then honest with you, when they are selling the same care cheaper on at other showrooms i am shocked at the level of service and the fact that they send their staff to peoples houses to bully them also when they brought the car back they had spat in the drivers side we have taken pictures and documented the whole situation i cant believe that they are still trading to be honest
  13. Hiya all im soo shocked to see so many of us have been cheated by carcraft and the finance companiesMy mother bought me a Peugeot 107 for my graduation on saturday 28th May. We we're met by a sales rep called Sammy who told us you were a hyper market and we wouldn't find any of the cars viewed anywhere cheaper, he showed us a Suzuki swift which was the original car we came to view. My mother explained that it was too expensive and was s 5door which I didn't want, he proceeded to show us other cars which we didn't like he then showed us the 107 and I fell in love with it. During the sale of the car we were told on several occasions that we had a 14day cooling off period and so agreed the deal. When we got home we realised that we had been charged £7,299 for a car worth £4,500 used and £7000 brand new we also realised that you were selling younger cars of that make and model cheaper aswell. We have tried to cancell the finance agreement and discuss the issues with the showroom and have discovered we were again misled as the agreement can not be cancelled. My mother is happy to pay the amount but we would like a car of that value or we would like the car to be reduced to the actual book price. We both feel carcraft have mislead and lied to us and feel upset by the whole situation. My mother has breast cancer and this whole situation is putting undue stress on her which she could really do without and I feel terrible because she was only trying to do something nice for me and it has all gone wrong. we have contacted watch dog who are looking into the matter so finger crossed if we all email in and tell them our story we shpuld be able to prevent other people being ripped off mislead and disappointed by these con artistsxx
