Hi all. I'm new to the site and found it whilst researching a parking ticket. I would be very greatful for any advise from people who have been in a similar situation. I parked legally in the Leeds Road retail park in Huddersfield whilst I went into Argos to buy a swimming pool for my grandson. After buying said pool I found the the box to be a bit on the large and heavy side for me. I left the pool on the counter and went to get my car and parked it in one of the disabled bays outside the doors. These were all empty. When I came out of the store I went to put the box in the boot. As I was doing this a parking attendant appeared from behind a parked van. He said to me is this your car sir. I replied yes, got in my car and drove off. The attendant was writing in his book or whatever at the time. He never attempted to put any ticket on my car. A couple of weeks later I received a letter fron Excel stating that as I had driven away the option to pay £60 had gone and therefore I had to pay £100 within two weeks. That seems a very hefty charge for the two minutes it took me to walk back into the store, pick the box up and return to my car. Thanks for taking the time to read this post. Best wishes John
