  1. Nationwide failed to reply to the court after the papers were served, now they have a judgement against them. They have repaid over £2700!! They want me to sign to say it has been paid so the judgement will be lifted, I may wait until the last minute before doing so! They even repaid charges made since after my claim, so good news. They always give in. I'm trying to get them to say they won't put a default notice against me before I sign anything, I've heard they often do this. I have dealt with Charles Bacon in Legal Compliance, Nationwide House, Pipers way, Swindon, SN38 1FN. 01793 655 978. He's been really helpful, sounds fed up with all the claims he's been dealing with.
  2. Have been told by the court that I win by default but there is a backlog and they cannot enter judgement til next week. I just want to know Nationwide's response, someone has missed this one and will get it in the neck!
  3. They are really c**p at Nationwide. I filed court papers on 18 August and they had until 7th Sept to file their reply. They either ignored it or missed the date, either way I win by default. Seems like one dept. don't know what the other is doing, they are really over whelmed by all the claims!
  4. Nationwide have not even acknowledged my claim or the papers sent by the courts. They are probably snowed under with so many claims that mine has slipped through.
  5. Nationwide have not filed a reply to the court by the due date. I suppose this means I win? I have sent a request for judgement to the court but can they ignore this too? They'll have to contact me or the court at some stage surely?
  6. Sally1977 - I used the following address to serve court papers: Nationwide B.S. Nationwide House Pipers Way Swindon SN38 1NW Stick to the timetable the CAG recommend and you'll be fine. Good luck.
  7. Mandi - I was told that the court papers were deemed to be served by 24 August. I have until this Thursday to hear if they will contest the case. If they do they have an additional 28 days to prepare their case. I don't know if it will go that far, I hope not. Good luck with your claim.
  8. Hope these shortcuts help, if you can't use moneyclaim online, print the forms and take them to your local county court. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/844-n1-claims-form-pdf.html http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/681-particulars-claim-hard-copy.html http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/634-guide-notes-completing-moneyclaim.html
  9. I followed all procedures as outlined on this site. Really helpful too. I have just filed papers with County Court so expect some reaction soon. I have had several letters from Nationwide, they call it a "complaint" to try and give themselves more time, but I didn't fall for it. Seems they push everyone to the limit then cave in!
  10. Cheers Dolly. Wish me luck. I guess one day someone is going to find Nationwide will turn up at court! I just hope it's not me! I have heard they may be reducing their charges soon, is this going to affect the claim?
  11. Yea, they'll get a shock alright. Although I'm not sure who to send the court papers to as I now have 3 letters all from different departments and people. Should I just send them to the person the LBA went to and ignore this complaints person?
  12. Thanks for the reply, I know they got the LBA because they acknowledge it in thier letter, but they insist it is a complaint and don't seem to understand I will be taking them to court!
  13. I sent the Letter Before Action 14 days ago and have just received Nationwide's reply. They have classed it as a complaint and state the FSA allow them 8 weeks to investigate and they have until 19 September! Should I still go ahead with court action or do I have to wait the 8 weeks? I didn't follow their complaints procedure, but they have had every letter the forum advised to send. They seem to be passing my letters to all sorts of departments.
  14. Nationwide have 2 days left before I make acourt claim. On Money Claim I have to pay £120 charges because I am claiming £3,029 in charges. Due to being on DLA and other benefits I believe I do not have to pay court fees, but Money Claim doesn't allow this. How can I claim on line? Will I have to print out the forma and go to the Court in person to prove I am on benefits?
  15. Just had first letter from Nationwide saying their charges are are in accordance with the Terms and Conditions and customers are always told in advance what they are! They say the recent directives are about credit cards not bank accounts! Is this right? They have also sent a leaflet how to complain! Anyway, I have sent a letter before action and will see what they say.
  16. I have followed the guidelines for obtaining all details of charges on my account with Nationwide. I have just received all statements for the past 6 years and have added up their charges. I intend to send a letter claiming them back. Wish me luck.
