  1. Thanks very much for that. After a lot of thought I've decided to carry on with the OFT (which I had started whilst the action was supended) and if I don't get anywhere, start a new claim. There might be more info through by then also. I won't give up though!
  2. I raised an action (in Scotland) against RBS in 2007 just before the Court's ruling against bank charges, to reclaim over £11,000 of charges and interest applied to our account between 2000 and 2005. This has languished in the court ever since the ruling but a new judge is now clearing out all the cases like this one. I have been summoned to court on 5th July to state whether I wish to proceed with the case. Lawyers for RBS have since been in touch to advise that if I drop the case they will not seek expenses against me if they manage to obtain decree of dismissal on the same date. I am of a mind to continue with the action as the bank's actions caused us extreme financial hardship leading to divorce, split of our family and sale of our home. At one point they were charging us over £300 per week and my husband only earned £250! I believe that their actions were neither fair or reasonable and I think they should recognise this. I think I have a fair case. The only problem is I have no idea how much the charges would likely to be if I lost and had to pay both sides. Anyone have any idea? I have to reply to lawyers by 1st July.
  3. Also..........don't bother trying the 0845 3030 442 telephone number as no-one ever answers it! I waited for 20 mins again today with no indication of where I was in the queue or how long I would have to wait. Yet another example of the shoddy treament by RBS of their customers! I have asked for an e-mail address and direct telephone number and have advised that I will be turning up at South Gyle personally!
  4. Hi there I'm also dealing with Lyn Kirkland and her delaying tactics are incredible! I took my complaint to the Ombudsman after my case languishing in court for nearly 2 years and I'm not giving up! I'll keep you up to date with whatever further correspondence I get, but if I don't get a satisfactory reply, it goes back to the Ombudsman again!
