  1. ok thanks for that. I've done my letters and they've refused full payment so I'm at the stage of submitting my claim to court. I don't have an english address (unfortunately!) so do I need a solicitor then? Is that the best way to go? Sorry to sound completely stupid! If I submit one at a time, then I don't need a solicitor...? So that means that I will have a few claims - do you recommend small claims or summary cause?? Thanks!
  2. Hi all. I'm confused (again!) I have a claim for 4682 pounds. Should I split that then into 3 under Summary Clause and then one to Small Claims? Do I submit all forms at the same time or one after another once one has been settled? I presume all at once so that they know how much in total I am claiming, otherwise, how do they know? Thanks!
  3. Thank you! I've sent off my rejection letter this morning stating that I'm now going to small claims court. Watch this space.
  4. Hiya - more help needed. I sent my LBA dated 18th Sept, received a reply dated 28th Sept, probably arrived just before the 14 day deadline. This letter offered again a 'full and final settlement' of 1300.00 pounds. The claim is for 4682.00 pounds. Do I now just go ahead and make a claim or do I send another rejection letter, giving them a further 14 days? I had a look at the site recommended for small claims moneyclaim.gov.uk but it seems that this applies to England and Wales only. Is it the small claims court for Scotland and how many claims do I need to submit for that amount? Sorry, this is new to me! Any advice gratefully received!
  5. Thanks for that. It's after my preliminary letter asking for a refund and that's what they came back with. So do I now send the LBA?
  6. This is my first time on here but I've been reading with interest over the last few weeks (i'm not very good at using these groups - stupid!). Time to ask for some help please! I put in my first letter claiming for 4682 pounds. Just had a letter offerinf 435.00 pounds refund in "full and final settlement of my complaint". This is the BofS/Halifax bank - do I proceed to the next stage? It seems a paltry amount (and this is only over the last 3.5 years!) in comparison with what they have taken. Any advice gratefully received!
