Help with a possible drink/driving offence
MB123 replied to Bev250264's topic in Private Land Parking Enforcement
I am sorry to kind of hi-jack the thread but green_and_mean it says your private message box is full, can you clear some space please I need to send you something important. Kind Regards, MB123 -
I think I will use a) Do you think I should also include the fact that the sign was obstructed or just concentrate on point a)?
-
Many thanks for your help green and mean as always. So just to confirm shall I state that the wording on the PCN is wrong and also state the obstruction or one or the other or maybe I am missing the point and something else ?
-
Thanks for your reply green and mean. Did you look at the last picture which says "Pedestrian zone, Except for loading 7 - 10am" Here it is again for you: If what you say is the case and I can park for up to 20 minutes there this will save me so much time as when I have to deliver to this customer I need to park a very long distance away from the shop, this street used to be a road but the blocked it all off and made what you see in the above pictures. I eagerly await your reply! Many thanks.

Hello everybody, Details of the PCN: Contravention: 28 parked in a special enforcement area on part of the carriageway raised to meet the level of a footway, cycle track or verge. Date of Contravention: 20/10/2011 Observed vehicle from: 14:11 to 14:13 I was delivering to a customer nearby and in the first picture you can see where my van is parked, I honestly did not see the sign thanks to the barriers in the way if I did see the sign I would of not parked there as you can see below you cannot park at the time I was there but thanks to the obstruction of the sign I did not know. You can see all my pictures where taken straight after the PCN was issused so there is proof that at that day and time there was an obstruction there. What I am wondering is before it is to late do I have reasonable grounds for canceling this PCN, and is there any official or technical knowledge that I can state rather than the obvious. I would like to thank you all very much in advance and thanks for helping out with my other PCN that was some time ago ! Regards, MB123

Hello I am asking this on behalf of a friend, My friend recently had an operation (The ticket was not issued on the day of the operation), he had a disabled badge already however he stayed in a disabled parking space which has a 3 hour limit zone for 3 hours 20 minutes, is there any chance of canceling the penalty charge or is there nothing we can do at all ? Kind Regards, Everyone's help is extremely appreciated as always, and I would like to thank everyone from the inner depths of my heart in advance !

So today I recieved the Notice to Owner, Thanks for everyones help so far. I would be really greatful if you could help me make a formal appeal, my story is outlined in my original post of this thread, and can I ask in the formal appeal should I include that bombshell about flawed wording in the hounslow PCN's like mine does. Thank you very much in advance Kind Regards, MB -
Parking : Hounslow PCN - Parked or loading/unloading...
MB123 replied to MB123's topic in Private Land Parking Enforcement
Yup, I believe I do have a PCN with flawed wording. Never the less I will include the flawed wording in the NTO if it comes, but ultimately where I have parked I am allowed to park and I was unloading to a customer there are no blips or anything on the pavement where I have parked and the sign at the begining of the road says I can park there at the time I was there... so if these ...... insist again that I am in the wrong as mentioned I will take it to PATAS. But I would like to thank you Coupon for pointing out the flawed wording as it is something more I can add to defend my case, thank you. Kind Regards, MB -

I could not find in that thread what the flawed wording is Coupon. I just have to wait for the NTO to arrive now and will keep you guys updated when it comes... maybe they won't bother with it after I twice insisted I was in the right. Can I also ask what SYL means ? -

Parking : Hounslow PCN - Parked or loading/unloading...
MB123 replied to MB123's topic in Private Land Parking Enforcement
Observed from: 13:15 to 13:16 Yes I have looked on google street view but the first sign outside nandos is no longer there and the one after it which is around 40 meters away as I have said has changed now and it says "No loading mon - sat 7am 8pm" "No Stopping 7am - 8pm" My arguement is there is no blips chevrons on the pavement and that second sign you see which is now the first as the first on street view has been removed is a considerably long way away. What are my rights according to this situation Thanks for your help again, Kind Regards MB -
Parking : Hounslow PCN - Parked or loading/unloading...

Sorry apparently I need 20 posts to post a link I have included the pictures above -
Hello everybody, I was unloading a delivery to a customer when I recieved the following PCN London Borough of Hounslow (02) Parked or loading/unloading in a restricted street where waiting and loading/unloading restrictions are in force. Above I have provided the link to where I have parked and made a square rectangle stating where I have parked, as you can clearly see there are no blips on the pavement on the second picture and there is a no loading sign roughly 40 meters away. But behind this bus stop there is another Sign which states that I can park there on the time shown in the picture. I have challenged the PCN the first time saying this ticket has been unlawfully issued they decided that they have decided not to cancel the penalty charge notice. I challenged the ticket again stating there are no clearly marked chevrons/blips on the pavement. But today recieved another letter stating they will not cancel the PCN. I have come to my whits end and have no idea what else I can do depending on your comments I am going to take them to court if I am indeed in the right here, am I the one in the right in this case what do you recomened I should do ? Thank you for your help in advance Kind Regards, MB
