Hello can anyone help me please? I am bipolar and have recently been quite ill so my CPN filled in forms for DLA care etc for me.. I got a letter from council stating my housing benefit had changed so I looked on the internet for more information only to find I should not be paying any! My 25 year old son who works full time lives with and my teenage daughter who is still at school.. I went into the council office asap and they agreed with me but what about all the rent my son has paid since sept will he get this back? I did not inform them in sept I had got DLA as I was ill and my CPN was sorting things for me.. I really feel for my son who gave up his own flat to live with me to help with care and finances..
