  1. I have been with brighthouse 4 nearly 2 yrs, i purchased an ACER LAPTOP costing me quite alot of money. even though i could afford the weekly payments i started falling behind due to my income changing, i had to take my laptop in for repair on the 20th dec as the screen went on it & i was told it would only take upto 4-6 wks to be sent back to me once it was repaired, i was told that even though i didnt have the item i was still having to pay my weekly payments & when i asked them if they thought it was fare i should still pay all i got was its in your contract i had no customer service from them at all. the date now is the 8th february & still no laptop but whn i called them last week they told me it had been repaired but they are still waiting for it to be sent back to the servis office in birmingham before it will be returned to me. i called trading standards & they adviced me that i should get back in touch with them & tell them about the 1974 act about consumer rights. i did as they requested but all i got was it could take between 6-8 weeks not the time they told me in the store.
