Thanx guys gonna make a payment on the arrears in the morning and then every wk just hoping i can get somewhere with council also gonna write to them asking if they'll give me 1 last chance and accept my offer of payments without dealing with the bailiffs. I will not be writing anymore letters to rossendales i clearly told them in my last letter that i couldn't pay £183.00 wk which is what they told me i ad to pay and i have no intention of speaking to the bailiff or letting him in my home.I dont av a car so least i dont av to worry bout that aswel I just feel really scared and dread every knock at the door. So does anybody know how long they carry on coming out for does it go on for months cos i really dont think i can take another month of this Once again thankyou for ur comments

Well like many others i'v also had Rossendales Bailiffs at my door 3 Times in past 4wk as i'v not been home they've left a letter to say they will call back at their convenience i've tried offering weekly amounts with Rossendale only to be rejected every time. I Thought tho cos it had gone in the hands of these horrible people that i had to deal with them but just been told from another forum that you can still pay money to the council for this debt which i wasn't aware that i could do this. I feel so scared to be in my house as i'v read bad stories of these people, So does anyone no if i write a letter to my local council tax office and offer to pay my arrears to them and not have to deal with Rossendales if they can stop them from calling or do i not have no choice now. Never been in a situation like this before so not sure how i go about it. Do these people ever give up or should i expect another knock at the door in the morning as the letter they brought yesterday said i have only 24hrs to respond or pay in full

Hallowitch it was rossendales office i spoke to about 2month ago but they just refused all my offers of weekly payments i daren't even phone the bailiff. cassiedaisy thanks for the advice but i wasn't aware either that i could still pay the council for this debt i thought with it been in the hands of rossendales i had to deal with them.

I too am avin nothing but trouble with rossendales they attended my house for the 3rd time yesterday left a letter to say i'v 24hrs or they'll be back i av not ignored their letters previous to this but i av tried offering em a weekly amount but they just keep rejecting it and saying they'll accept £183.00 a wk i dont even get this in wages all i seem to get is abuse which is why i wont phone them anymore i'm scared to be in my own house and this is making me ill i just cant seem to be able to get this sorted so if anybody knows where i can get help for this it would be much apprieciated was going to go to CAB this week to see how they work regarding these matters but not even sure at this stage if anything can be done other than me feeling threatened my these horrible people. Please please please can someone point me in the right direction and where i stand with all this.
