  1. Hi, thanks for the quick reply. I did send a letter very similar to the one you suggest with the boots, I used a template from a site. No, I was not told the boots may wear differently by the shop nor is there any mention of this on their site. They are telling me that as they are made from a natural material they will look distressed! I am distressed as I saved hard for these boots and feel totally let down and disappointed as I really wanted them. How will a charge back work in regards to faulty goods? Thanks again.
  2. Hi, I wondered if some one could give me some advice. I purchased a pair of Ugg boots from 'Shoon' at Bluewater mid October (I am at work and don't have all the paper work). They cost me £250. After I purchased them they were left in the box in my wardrobe as the weather was still to warm to wear them! I had them for about 3 weeks before I actually wore them. When I put them on I thought one looked lighter than the other but my husband said he couldn't see it...I wore them 5 times over a 2 week period and the difference in colour became more noticeable so I stopped wearing them and rung Shoon. I spoke to a lady, took her name and was told to send the boots to her, there was a short delay in sending the boots as my eldest son was taken into hospital for an operation. Once we were home I sent the boots (last Thursday, they received them Friday) So, yesterday the boots came back to me with a letter. This basically said that there was no manufacturing fault with the boots and that as they are made from different parts of leather from different areas of the animal I was to expect varying degrees of wear. Also, if I wanted a refund the boots had to be in a saleable condition and not worn. They are saying I am wrong, that the different colours are part of the design...I am saying that I have paid £250 for a pair of boots I can't wear. Oh and one further thing to note is that one of the boots is slightly shorter than the other!! What should my next step be? Thanks Tamzin

  5. Me and my wife have been together since 2000 and she has made no payments since then. Or had any contact with them since then also.
  6. Thanks for your reply. Also don't they have to produce the Consumer Credit Agreement within 30 days or I can report them? Les
  7. Hi, My wife received a debt collection letter from Buchanan Clark + Wells on the 20/08/10 with regards to an old Capital One Credit Card debt from about 1997 - total was £494.00. On the 27/08/10 I wrote them a letter on her behalf requesting a Consumer Credit Agreement for this debt and sent them the £1 cheque. I got the letter template from this site. I also sent it by Royal Mail 'Special Delivery'. I give them the deadline dates to produce this document. On the 31/08/10 my wife received a reply from them. It said something like, we don't hold Consumer Credit Agreements at this office, we are not the Creditor. We have returned your cheque, your account is on hold and we have requested our client send the document direct to you. I have not heard anything from Buchanan Clark + Well or their client. No one has sent me the Consumer Credit Agreement to date. What should I do know? Regards, Les SORRY CAN ADMIN DELETE THIS THREAD. I'VE DONE A DOUBLE POST.
