We have always had high bills, but paid combined for gas and electric, so never took much notice to the bills, other than they are high...after the last one i decided to go on prepayment for various reasons, one being so i can 'see' what i am using....had them put in on friday, electric about lunch time, we have used approx 35.60 from then till now..monday am, which isnt bad considering what we use in electric...my probelm is with the gas!!! Since friday teatime when meter was put in we have used £4.40....now we thought it strange as not had heating on, only popped water on for 20 minutes so decided to check last night, went and checked meter at 11.25, then this morning at 7.30, between this time it had used 57p...we had NOTHING on other than the pilot light for the heating....is there something wrong with my gas, this works out a hell of a lot for not using anything. opinions please thanks Michelle EDIED to say, there was only a short period between the last bill and having meters put in, i asked them to bill me for this, so they should not be taking any from the meter for previous bill/usage

Ah this explains it as on saturday morning i also had a call to my landline, saying they were BoS, and they wanted my personal details, as one of the kids had just bloody woke me up as i had a bad night so had a lie in i told them to ring me back, he instatly asked again, i got mad and told him to ring me back later. I certainly wont be giving my details out!!!! There is a slight possibility it could have something to do with the problem i had with them, i paid my first payment online, and bloody sent it to RBoS, so now i have £50 missing somewere and a £25 late fee, but i have just rang twice and managed to get the fee back...yippee Cheers Michelle

I keep getting this number ringing my mobile, the first time i answered they cut off, therefore i havnt answered after the secondtime when i slightly heard a foreign voice in the background, should i be suspicious, the number is 08708503492 Knowing my luck it will be something important and i keep ignoring it LOL Michelle

Well i rang BoS and the first lady i spoke to was really nice and said she thought i might be able to get my fee back, she put me through to someone else who adamently said NO, as it was their fault!!! So looks like i might be £75 down, i hope not, you never know they just might find my £50 payment, fingers crossed. Michelle
  5. Please if anyone can help i would be grateful. Basically i transfered some cash over to BoS mastercard, and i paid well before due date online from my TSB bank account, saturday i got my second statement saying i had a late fee of £25 as i hadnt paid my first payment, obviously i was shocked and worried as to were my £50 payment had gone, spoke to BoS, no joy they didnt have it, spoke to my bank this am, and it seems that when i did it online i have actually paid it to RBoS...derr didnt even know 2 different ones existed, do you think if i ring them they will refund the charge, and also the lady in my bank rang the online team, they are dealing with it, but the lady in my bank wasnt very optimistic that i would get my £50 back as she said it was a customer error......so can someone else really benefit from my money?????
