Hi all. Can anyone tell me whether or not there is a standard LBA - Letter Before Action please? I've sent my prelim letter off to the Halifax and as expected received a letter offering me £60 in full and final settlement. I claimed back £117 which isnt a great deal compared to other claims on here but its still my hard earned cash and a principal!!! Should I accept their offer but not in full and final settlement at this stage or decline altogether and send the LBA? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi... Can anyone tell me how to use this thread/chat thingy please. I started a thread back on 14th June when I sent my prelim letter off. Am I supposed to stay within that thread, which looks just like I'm replying to myself, or do I start a new thread everytime??? Thanks

Hi all, I'm really not sure whether I'm using this thread system right - should I stay within the thread I originally created or start a new thread each time?? It seems I'm replying to my own posts like this - it cant be right, can it???? Anyway, I sent the prelim letter to the Halifax on 14th June and received a reply back yesterday stating that they would review my claim and respond within the next 4 weeks . Interestingly, I also received a telephone call later that day to discuss the letter however I was at work and unable to take the call. The agent said she would put her resolution in writing!! The 14 days ends tomorrow, and I wondered whether I should give them a little more time given the above or move onto stage 2 - whatever that may be!! What do you think? Thanks for any help!!

Hi again. Can anyone help???? My internet provider at home is AOL and I can't seem to access/log into this forum at all - it simply kicks me out and says I've used up my log in allowance:confused: Has anyone else experienced this and if so, any idea how to resolve it?? No technical jargon please - I'm not a techi by any means!!! Cheers

Hi all Just sent my preliminary letter off to request my charges back. In the last month I've been charged £117 for going £12 overdrawn for less than a week.....and yes you guessed it, the way that the Halifax post their charges has bumped up the amount of the charges - charges on charges on charges!!!!!!! To add insult to injury, I'd just sold my house and the sale proceeds were sitting in a websaver account therefore overall the robbing b*****ds had thousands of my money on deposit with them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm trying to find the spreadsheet on the forum to log my claim ( as per the instructions on moneysavingexpert.co.uk) but cant find it - any ideas where I can look? Feeling a little nervous now.......
