Thanks dx100uk. Yes, GE secured CCJ judgement against me because they claimed I owned them £50. Now, I have decided to go to court to remove the CCJ judgement by Setting it Aside. Unknowing, this CCJ judgement has ruined me by loosing two important jobs that have to with Background Checks. Thanks for your concern.

Ge (Debenhams Store Card) has secured a CCJ against me in April 2008 claiming a £50-plus debt. I got to know there was a debt of £50-plus on the account after credit check when I wanted to buy a computer on loan. I contacted Ge to settle the bill in 2009 and was directed to Cohen (debt collector agent) who asked me to pay £147-plus without telling me this had been taken to court already . I decided to pay Cohen £147, although i wasn't sure of this claim. This year, after checking my credit I realised there is CCJ against me from Ge. The court letter was served to my old address according to them so I didn't know when this happened. I have already been to court to set aside the Judgement using N244 form and now the court asked me submit a Defence Statement by this coming Tuesday. Please advice on how to write this type of Defence Statement and type of documents needed to send in with this statement. Please this is very urgent as i am naive in this that of issue. Pls i really really need a very quick help from anybody with knowledge. thank you
