Dunno if i'm on the right part but just looking for some advise on RUTHBRIDGE......my x partner received a letter from ruthbridge last week asking him to contact them (this letter also had my name on....well in a fashion!!) anyway not knowin wot it was about he contacted them and they said they were collecting a debt on behalf of marlin finance for a car debt that he had for a car.....he doesnt have any of the paperwork from this but we think that he returned the car in aug 2003/2004(think it was defo 2003...but these companys put doubt in your mind!!) sorry dont know any exact details.....this was after paying for almost a year...from the car going back there have been no payments made by him or myself and no contact made since this time either until last week......he sent them the statute barred letter and now they have left a message on his phone saying that the debt is not sb and that there was a payment made in nov 2005.....which neither of us have any recollection of....like i say we havent heard anything regarding the car since it went back.......just looking for some advice on what to do next???
