  1. TLC4fdfnet, what is watchdog email address, who is it ? Can I call them ? I would like to contact them as well. Today is my last day to pay discounted amount or appeal to independent adjuster so I need to do something quick. I am thinking that signs are very confusing and that many people was treated unfair having to pay fine for council mix up but I got feeling that whatever I say to independent adjuster he will say that I do not know the law enough and council is right. I am tired to go throw all this again on my own spending hours on the internet looking for information and checking if signs really failed to comply with regulation. I am close to just pay to council and forget. Can anyone advise what to do ? It would be best if we act together
  2. Has anyone got PCN cancelled for entering this pedestrian zone ? Please let me know. I am wondering as well if we can check how much money Council has collected from entering this zone and how it compares to revenue from before changing signs. I think this could be another evidence that the signs are confusing and as result rather make council more money then prevent drivers to enter pedestrian zone.
  3. Bernie_the_Bolt, I do not think you right, According to rejection letter I still have a discount right and I was talking to council traffic dep and they confirmed that my discount applies till Monday. Coming back to the sign, I drive there because definition when it applies has mislead me. From my understanding of the road signs I was thinking that days and hours on the bottom validate when the sign applies, eg: means I can not wait there form Mon-Fri 8;30-6:30 and Sat 8:30-1:30 but I can in any other time. On the sign on Ripple Road there is similar format of hours in the bottom that says Mon-Sat and hours so to me Sunday would be fine to drive in. Please tell me what you think about it as this is the reason why I decided to drive there on Sunday and got my PCN. Confusing sign below:
  4. As expected my appeal was rejected by council. I can apeal now to independent adjuster only but will lose discount if I will not win. I am wondering how was yours appeals did anyone win ? I probably will appeal farther anyway just to see what they will say
  5. Otterby, I have received exactly same PCN just about 1 hr later. I live in Barking and know this place and I was sure that there is no restriction on Sunday. I have been told so by one of the people that trades there, also I have seen many people driving there on Sunday and the most important - it is not mentioned clearly on the sign - about any restrictions on Sunday. I think the description to this sigh in complete mess, I really tried to understand it and be sure that I will not get a fine but it is so unclear when the restriction occur. On the bottom of the sign says that Mon-Sat what makes impression that there is no any restrictions on Sundays. This is because all description when the sign is valid is far too long and reading this is not possible when you driving. I have impression that all thing is done by council on purpose to gather more money. This is the most confusing place I have seen in my life and I guess not only to me as always when I am there on Sundays I can see cars driving there. We need to stand against this PCN and council must change how this place is arranged. I am also appealing. I have some experience with fighting against council with PCNs. Sadly they do not seem to treat you seriously until you appealing to adjudicator. Situation that I had before council was rejecting any of my appeals but once it went to adjudicator they sent me letter that they cancel my PCN and that I do not have to go to adjudicator and to forget about whole thing. Lets keep in touch
