Hello, i was looking for my front door keys which i couldnt find. thinking i left it at my partner's address ( he lives about 15 mins away from me) i went to check out his address. as i approached his street, i noticed my car was not parked where i left it the previous day( my partner dropped me on his bike and as my sister lives with me, i didnt need my keys to get in) and i could not locate my keys which also has my car key attached to it. i reported the car stolen and the police recovered it 2 hours later with witness stating that they saw three lads coming out of it. the key ( excluding my house keys) was found in the ignition. i completed the paperwork sent my the insurance company. while im still awaiting to hear whether the car is repairable, they sent me a letter today stating that their engineers have not found any evidence of forced entry and according to the letter they wrote " it has been suggested that the car cannot be taken without causing theft related damage" they are now asking me to explain how the car could have been taken without causing any theft related damage! i have also told the police and the insurance company that my keys were also missing when i reported the car missing. I have read lots on various site and found some company will try to get out of paying. i would really like some help, i have told them that my keys were missing as well but what if they dont accept this.
