The AA used to restrict drivers to 5 call outs in a year. Members may be interested to note that they have introduced a Sevice Control Charge if you had 5 call outs in the past two years. This charges you an additional £60 per year on full membership. They justify it by saying they are protecting members' interests, when in fact it has been introduced retrospectively. How hypocritical is this with their constant criticism of Oil Companies, Petrol Duty and Insurance Costs? My intention is to make as many people aware of this as possible and I am already talking to both Radio and TV stations as in these times, it seems commercial suicide. I'd also check your cover, it doesn't affect me, but they are putting restrictions on cars that over 10 years old too. I'm sure they'll "revolutionise" plumbing and homecare in the same way, so check your cover. A once great institution is just playing on people when times are hard as it is. Vote with your feet.

I had 8 for 8 successive days a few months ago. I've had the round of ccs letters over the past two days. Today I've arrived home to a missed call which I returned to find it's ccs. Do I just ignore future calls or answer saying they are legally unable to collect these fines?
